She is, didn't you watch 'On The Couch'? (I have no argument for this one but until I see a full psychological assessment...)

but she resorted to starting an argument over nothing.
No she didn't, she stood up for her rights when someone tried to demand their own way. (don't know because I haven't seen it yet)
Now, don't get on your high horse about this, it just goes to show that not everyone sees her as this iconic housemate.

I don't understand what you mean but it sounds like an insult towards me - nevermind though, everyone entitled to their own opinions.

I thought if last night was anything to go by, the one we should all be questioning is Chanelle. Emily, in my eyes, did nothing wrong and handled the situation/s well.

Chanelle on the other hand made a mountain out of a molehill and got on her high horse, swearing at her and bitching to other people in open view of Emily.

I think she's an easy target because she's middle class....

I don't need to get on a high horse. I contested Girth's points, which is my right. If you don't like to hear people defend Emily, you may want to reconsider coming in the Emily section.

And I would ask you not to edit my posts in future. Thankyou.

Sunny_01 06-06-2007 05:07 PM

Editing someone else post in that way is not allowed - please dont do this in the future

InTheFade 06-06-2007 05:07 PM

I don't think, for most people, that Emily's middle-class status has anything to do with their dislike of her. I think there's a difference between having attitude and having a bad attitude and since the latter applies to Emily (in my opinion) a lot of people don't like her all that much. Having said that, I don't think much of Chanelle either.

I don't have a problem with anyone defending Emily, you shouldn't have a problem with anyone criticizing her either. Sorry I edited your post, I didn't know you couldn't do that but I'm not having a slanging match with you or anyone else, I like Big Brother but it doesn't affect my life that much.

the_chosen_one 06-06-2007 05:11 PM

Well then lets debate about the show and not make this personal.

InTheFade 06-06-2007 05:13 PM

Lol, absolutely fine by me

No insult. I was saying that if she acts like a snob in the house then she'll suffer a backlash when she gets out.

You've got to kidding. Emily is a target becasue she's middle class? No way.

Emily made the initial coment directed at Chanelle. A judging comment that had no foundaation. CHanelle then asked her what she meant by it. Chanelle was defending herself. Emily showed her spoilt brat side by making the iinitial comment. Remember, Emily claims that her family are the Hiltons of Bristol. She's a self imprtant stuck up bitch.

ShadowEye 06-06-2007 05:45 PM

Can I just point out to anyone who seems to think Emily was being a spoiled brat by bringing up the straighteners, she WAS using them before they got told about the bathroom. Chanelle took them without considering that someone else may have been using them first. That, to me, sounds more like Chanelle was being selfish, not Emily.

Emilee 06-06-2007 05:48 PM

Exactly!!!!

Chanelle could have waited until emily finnished. The straighteners arnt just hers.

Did chanell take them while Emily was using them? No. How was she to know? Was she supposed to ask? I don't see what Emily's beef was. I truly think she acted like a spoit brat type witch.

GiRTh 06-06-2007 05:51 PM

Also, why didn't Emily quietly make her point and ask Chanell to repect that she was using the straighteners first. Instead she bitched behind Chanelles back. There is no defence for her actions.

Billy 06-06-2007 05:54 PM

Emily didnt say she couldnt use the straighteners first, all she said was that they shouldnt give Chanelle priorities, cos she will come to expect them, which is absolutley correct

I'm sure she was in the room when Emily was using them, so she knew, she just didn't care. Emily just brought it up, and Chanelle flew off of the handle like a spoilt child, then accused Emily of the same actions.

Also true, not once did she say "give them here" or try to take them, and Chanelle seems the type to grant herself priority over luxuries.

Emilee 06-06-2007 05:56 PM

^^^ I agree with that, that does happen. and she is completely correct.

Why is it correct? Why becasue Chanelle was given priority with the straightener then assume she's going to become some kind of demanding diva? I posted in a previous post that it was quite a conclusion to come to. I think Emily has judged Chanelle by her own low standards.

Did Emily make her comments to Chanelles face? No. If she is as intelligent as she claims then surely she could have articulated her point to Chanelle's face.

It's human nature, you give someone priority, and they begin to expect it.

I don't agree. Im not like that and most of my friends aren't like that.

Perhaps she didn't want to make a big thing about it, unlike some people...

No, Emily was thinking of the house. She was simply saying that if you give people priorities, then they could end up demanding all the time.
