I have put my card in my safe

Im not saying it isnt a handy way to pay, I use mine all the time on the tube saves the hassle of having to buy an Oyster card and top it up, its just not that secure :hmph:

yes I do, but more often than not you don't realise you have lost your card for a few hours or maybe even days, it hasn't happened to me but I know someone who it has happened to, they got the money back from the bank but it took a few weeks to get it back, its a very handy way to pay for things, but security wise it seems a bit daft

Well, as long as the policy is you get that money back then it's the bank's loss if they wish to keep the feature. :smug:

I found a contactless card once a few weeks ago on the bus. I took it with me and I was tempted to have a field day with it. However, like you say it's very dodgy and risky, as I didn't know how much money there was in it.

For all I knew, there could've been £5 on it

I used to use it but decided not to because I cannot be trusted when there’s alcohol in my system

Is that the main thing that's dodgy about spending someone else's money

Of course not- I know full well what's dodgy about using someone else's card. My post was just a tongue in cheek response to hijaxers story about his/her friends friend dropping her card and some kid finding it, spending it on sweets, and my similar situation to finding a card and being tempted to use it. Only major difference is I didn't use their card in the end

I'm fully aware of the consequences of using someone else's card without their permission. I don't know why you're taking my post so seriously
