Brie Lawson has been talking some rubbish to be fair, but that has little to do with the movie itself; Kevin Feige isn't Kathleen Kennedy, he won't let it be crap. Why are audience scores even available before the movie is released?

Marsh. 27-02-2019 07:17 PM

Have you seen the video of Larson showing how strong she is after all that training? By pushing a car two metres whilst someone is driving it. :hehe:

She could give Gal Gadot a run for her money, all she did was spend a couple of years as an army combat instructor!

Apparently Rotten Tomatoes have actually changed that in response to this, and are no longer going to allow viewer reviews before the release date. It basically dropped from over 90% to under 60% because of her interview... Which obviously has absolutely nothing to do with the movie.

Reminds me of when a group of misguided LGBT activists trashed the IMDB score for "The 100" because they killed off a character that was in a gay relationship . That went on for over a year and you could literally pinpoint it to that character's death.

Oliver_W 27-02-2019 08:26 PM

Ohh I remember when that character died, people were bleating on about "LGBT erasure" or something, and it's like ... no. Characters are allowed to be killed, dawg!

Wasn't the thing that RT changed the "want to see" score, rather than reviews? People can be put off seeing a movie based on things the star says - it's a stupid reason to not want to see a film, but valid if it actually put them off it.

I recently found out there's also a "Captain Britain" and every time I see him mentioned I'm like "lol... Alf."

Yeah that's the first thing I was reminded of, the episode was one of the most critically acclaimed of the entire show too so it annoys me that the IMDB rating inaccurately represents that  Just glad they gave up the following season.

Similar thing happens with any Thandie Newton video on YouTube, the dislike ratio is bizarrely high. The Internet's full of nutjobs who need a bit more fresh air.

:conf2:

No it's a totally different character.

To be fair, a character with the least imaginative name in comic book history.

"She's in the air force so she can be captain something! Like captain America!"

"Captain what though?"

"Err... Umm... *glance around the office*... Marvel. Captain Marvel. Whatever."

These comic book super hero things have never interested me.

I did like The incredible Hulk on TV, with Lou Faringo and I saw the odd Batman tv episode and saw Superman with Christopher Reeve. But that's about it.

You're missing out, Alf. They're great

Have you seen the Tim Burton Batman films?

I once started watching The Dark Knight, but I ended up turning it off. Was that Tim Burton?

Lol no, that was directed by Christopher Nolan

Burton's two Batman films he directed had starred Michael Keaton as Batman, Jack Nicholson as the Joker, Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and Danny DeVito as the Penguin

Batman was released in 89 and Batman returns 1992

Oh yeah, the Jack Nicholson one. Nah! I didn't watch it, I think I remember that Prince did the music to that.

He did the soundtrack for the first film

Both of those two Batman films are magnificent, you should watch it

Oliver_W 28-02-2019 04:01 PM

The Tim Burton ones are great! The Christopher Nolan ones are okay, if a bit longer than they need to be.

Modern DC is just garbage, I just couldn't believe what I was watching with most of them, they're like the cinematic representation of headaches. Well, Wonder Woman was okay, but the rest...

Dark Knight is a great film... Batman Begins is only OK and honestly I found the third one utterly boring.
