Seriously James?

Wow. I mean, I know the aftercare from Big Brother was reportedly a bit of a joke but 19 series did not result in a suicide and yet 5 (?) series of Love Island has now had 2?

Babayaro. 16-03-2019 06:26 PM

Have never watched LI but knew this guy was a big character as I saw him pop up on FB/Twitter every so often.

Shocking news -RIP :(

What about dickhead?

Jason. 16-03-2019 06:34 PM

Tbh I don't think we can assume he committed suicide (if he even did in the first place) just because of his stint on the show or because viewers speculated that he bedded Jess two years ago...

Who knows what else must've gone in his personal life behind closed doors, the article also mentions that his best friend passed away a few months back.

The point is, the name “Muggy Mike” came around as an insult/jokey nickname for Mike and eventually it just stuck. However, as it was created with an insulting-type intention behind it, it’s a little disrespectful for the Daily Mail to refer to him as solely that in a headline reporting his death.

thisisdanny 16-03-2019 06:35 PM

Apparently he moved in with his Nan to care for her and she died a few days ago

Exactly

You can't be comparing a stage name to a nickname insulting and mocking you

Jason. 16-03-2019 06:39 PM

James did the same thing when Sophie died trying to imply she was homophobic. :skull:

Don't feed it.

Dan Wooon has said he spoke to Mike on Thursday, and Mike mentioned he was grieving the loss of his nan who he'd become full time carer to having moved in and looked after her, and she recently died aged 94.

Add this to the loss of his best friend at Christmas, the lack of LI aftercare, the public breakup with Megan. It's a lot on his shoulders bless him.

True, although the fact he was found in woods doesn’t exactly bode well.

That's absolutely heart-breaking to read

Losing his best friend and his grandmother in the space of a few months, along with the rest you just mentioned must have took its toll on him

thisisdanny 16-03-2019 06:46 PM

You never really know what's going on inside someone's head

LaLaLand 16-03-2019 06:48 PM

No idea who he is but that's no age. Tragic. RIP.

R.I.P. Suicide I suspect, again for LI. When will this show start giving proper care to it's contestants? I know he was on it years ago but fame can affect people like that. I know we all slaughtered BB for the kind of people they let in and joked about 'psych' tests but at least there's no cases of suicide from it.

The one thing that I strongly dislike about Reality Shows is their treatment of contestants with mental health issues as they use them for entertainment and don't care about their overall well being.

Headie 16-03-2019 06:51 PM

I’m in shock, so young as well. RIP.

So sad that arguably two of the biggest and most recognisable characters from the franchise have passed away so young.

Mystic Mock 16-03-2019 06:53 PM

RIP btw.

You don’t...
I liked him...he seemed very confident and self assured...it’s really sad.

brat. 16-03-2019 06:54 PM

this is shocking, as if some flowers would fix everything, they really need to up the after care

Tony Montana 16-03-2019 06:55 PM

Some tributes from his fellow cast members

Ant. 16-03-2019 07:09 PM

How awful :( RIP Mike
