Given the list in the OP, a basic price for a basic service.

Yep once they have a few dozen more movies and a couple of seasons of each of the original shows available, it's quite likely prices will go up IMO.

Black Dagger 08-11-2019 08:15 AM

It's quite cheap, really. I'll probably get it.

Netflix and Amazon Prime, yes they'll disappear when various contracts expire I imagine. Sky Movies probably not, different customer base mostly.

In case £6 a month becomes suddenly unaffordable?

:worry: Brexit...

Smithy 12-02-2020 05:50 PM

A Lizzie Maguire reboot in the works for this

Copying Ms Raven I see!

Simpsons won’t be available at UK launch because of Sky’s deal

Glenn. 24-02-2020 02:44 PM

Nnn when will it be then

Smithy 24-02-2020 04:35 PM

When the contract expires I guess?

Tom4784 24-02-2020 05:33 PM

There's a pre-order deal happening atm where if you pre-order for a year you'll get a tenner off the asking price. Might be worth it for people who know they'll use it for the long run.

Smithy 25-02-2020 09:39 AM

The Love, Simon series has been pulled from scheduling and will now sit on Hulu instead

There's a tonne of stuff missing from UK Netflix that almost every other country has, because Sky has long-term deals on them for Sky Atlantic... with Disney+ I think it'll probably depend on whether or not they think the draw of having it on Disney+ outweighs the cold hard cash they're getting for the rights to air it exclusively. Although, Disney is pushing hard to establish streaming so they might not base it as a purely financial decision.

LukeB 04-03-2020 11:56 AM

The simpsons IS coming to disney+ uk

Denver 04-03-2020 12:26 PM

Yes they signed a deal for it to become part of Sky Q and Now TV

Netflix have a similar thing (Netflix through your Sky sub). Makes a lot of sense really, there are plenty of Luddites still around who would probably never sign up for a streaming service independently but will happily add one to their Sky bill.
