I agree totally Livia.

Good grief.
Esther McVey on TV this morning was truly awful.
In the 2015 election, I helped Labour in her then seat and was overjoyed she lost it.

For goodness sake, she is one who should be rock bottom of this leadership poll.

Horrible individual politically.

the whole thing is meaningless until it gets down to the final 2. Anyone can stand that gets 2 nominations, so there will be bucket loads standing on this occasion because it's seen as the right thing to do.

Steve Baker is a major player if he decides to run, he's mulling over whether to at the moment, but he's getting a lot of encouragement to.

In a recent 'Conservative home' leadership survey, he came in forth place.

The top ten were

Johnson 33%
Raab 15%
Gove 12%
Baker 7%
Stewart 6%
Hunt 4%
Mcvey 3%
An other 2%
Cleverly 2%
Javid 2%

Whoever wins will be remembered in history as either. the Prime Minister that took the UK out of the EU or The last Tory Prime Minister.

We agree again. I don't feel like she's truly shaken off the superficial, puddle-shallow, fluffy TV Presenter image.

I despise her for defending the McCanns

Tom4784 30-05-2019 09:42 PM

Boris is a moron and Rees-Moggs is a hypocrite. Hopefully Boris' trial will be enough to destroy his chances and the farther RM stays away from Downing Street the better.

12 and growing is near farcical though.
For any Party.

It's not over yet, still more to come.
Too much choice can be as unwelcome as too little.
Especially when most seem to be directing themselves to closely similar outcomes.

I can't find or bring to mind any leadership election with even 12 let alone probably more to be added yet too.

It has even got Conservative MPs wanting it looked at, to increase the number of MPs supporting a candidate, to be changed upwards.

13 now

He left his position
and wants to stop Brexit.

Bakers dozen now.
13.
Still likely to rise.

A wide choice is a good thing but over saturation a bit ridiculous.

they can have 500 candidates, it doesn't matter. I will predict the final 2 will be remain vs brexit and then it's up to the members to decide.
