I feel Sir Harry can get off his 'self righteous high horse'. I was never told or brought up to see the colour of ones skin and judge. Maybe in his privileged up bringing he was...And all this 'inspirational' PR BS is coming from a man who dressed as a Nazi, for a laugh!

Lets not be blinded by agendas here.

If you think these people are trying to be 'citizens of the world' look at the rules given to their neighbours!

Totally agree Swan ,who are they to lecture ? God he's changed since he got with Meghan and not for the better

Niamh. 31-07-2019 09:01 AM

Great points made there by Harry, it's hard to admit that it's true but I do agree with him

Ammi 31-07-2019 09:03 AM

..racism and the rise in racism in the current political and social climate is something we’ve discussed so many times...but sadly with the click bait headline quality of the media, the discussions aren’t always what they could be...for Harry to talk openly about how the racist mindsets this country is still experiencing in 2019...how there are still family/environmental influences of prejudice etc...I mean even now in current times ..is just an amazing thing, he’s opening the way to conversations, proper conversations...not the click-bait stuff we’ve become accustomed to...and the response to that/to him...?...what about that nazi party dress of 15 yrs ago, how very dare you...oh my Lord in heaven, really...

bandwagonism of the worst kind

Speaking out against racism is him changing in a negative way? :umm2:

Yep, he’s now a fully rounded grown up who knows how people should be treated, an enlightened royal is a good royal.

Swan 31-07-2019 09:30 AM

Sadly, people just cannot accept that certain people who don't fit 'their' criteria, think for themselves and don't conform to the 'how you SHOULD think and believe', are independent to all this fascist bollocks.

Im proud to admit i see people, for people, black, white, brown......Im always proud to admit that i don't give a ****e about how you feel about me because i don't conform to your hedonistic way thinking, and living.

The irony is astounding....

I am me, i am I, and i am ****ing proud!

Swan 31-07-2019 09:40 AM

You will never achieve equality by demanding it

I don't think so, he's married a woman who is mixed race so obviously this is going to stir up new thoughts and certainly a new perspective on the subject, don't you think?

Exactly he was 20 years old then, it's great to see how he's matured since then

Is he demanding it or speaking about it though?

It was a generalisation, he has a voice, granted, but who is he of all people to tell us how to 'think' and conduct ones self...

His 'actual' privileged opinion means nothing to me, because guess what, he'll be alright!

Lets have a nurse working long hours, for **** pay, writing in Vogue about the REAL world, and maybe i'll take note.

However, Harry in his ivory towers can piss right off.

Liam- 31-07-2019 10:04 AM

So only the average Joe soap can speak out against racism and it be acceptable? That’s not really how it works, the strongest voices help make change so a royal speaking out about it is a very good thing

We'll see Harry and Megan at the next Black Lives Mater march, and Gay Pride then.

and if they did, that would be up to them. They don't dictate how people should think, people don't need to take heed of anything that they do or say, so what's the problem?

He's a person with an opinion and he was expressing it, you don't have to listen to him but to say basically that people who are rich aren't allowed to speak is silly

He was a bloody twenty year old royal...it should have been drummed into him that the outfit was unnaceptable...and by then he should have been mature enough himself to realise how stupidly racist he was.

No arguments here, I agree wholeheartedly which is why it's even more refreshing to see how far he's come and matured since then

It;s not about wealth, it's about his reality.

Sure and don't you think marrying a mixed race woman would have had a profound effect on the reality he once knew?

Him being hen pecked isn't a sign of maturity in my eyes.

I don't see him as hen pecked at all

Livia 31-07-2019 10:23 AM

Marrying a mixed race woman doesn't make him an authority on racism.

I'm willing to bet more people are against Meghan not because she's mixed race, but because she's a shameless self-promotor in the California stylie.
