it will need someone with pretty deep pockets to take it on and as a club it just doesn't have the flair to attract many investors with deep pockets. It really needs to be someone local which narrows the options a lot. I think the 4 interested party's will mostly disappear .... but who knows

I am sure I read somewhere that the owner has had links to 20 odd businesses that went into liquidation which is worrying to start with. I honestly don't see Bury staying in the football league regardless of what happens but they should try and not dissolve the team |

and also not even wanting to invest in a football team this old, loads of club history, to the lots of loyal supporters it feels disrespectful where fake teams with the Dubai people continue to stay top level and cheat themselves to championship titles :idc: |
Bury owner Steve Dale is asking members of the public to pledge money as the League One club bids to avoid expulsion from the English Football League.
The Shakers must provide evidence to the EFL that they can pay off creditors and have the funding needed to survive the season by 23:59 BST on Friday. The 134-year-old side have had their first six 2019-20 fixtures suspended. The EFL says it is "working tirelessly to achieve a solution" and has not ruled out a short extension. "We've gone to the public and we've said: 'If you want to save a football club, make a pledge to the club - not me,'" Dale told BBC Radio Manchester. "Once we're up to the amount the EFL says we need with projections, we can go back to them and say it's nothing to do with me, there's £2m, £3m, whatever it is, from genuine people who'll pledge to the club." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49434347 He is trying to scam the public |

A bid has been accepted and the deal will go through subject to EFL approval
|
It’s being reported that a sale of the club has been agreed. Apparently Alastair Campbell’s son is buying the club?

That's great news if the EFL approves the deal.

They have granted an extension to 5pm Tuesday to complete a sale

The bank holiday coming up could hold things up though which I'm concerned about. |

But I do agree with you that it would be good PR if the Premier League teams helped out Bolton and Bury. |
Because it would be classed as owning 2 clubs which isnt allowed

No owners are not allowed to be involved in finances of any other English teams
