I'm CPM4 :)

If I get up on the wrong side of bed, a hardcore OTTM

Liam- 23-08-2019 09:45 PM

I actually understand it now, when I first saw people doing this I thought I was having a stroke

Anamelia would be an example of OTT
Lavena would be an example of UTR
(dunno who to give an example for the others)

Anamelia is OTTM, full of vibrant positive and negative traits

Leave the best HG of all time alone!

Here's an example of an edgic chart (Troy's from BB18) to illustrate how all the ratings might look when put together (edgic actually works better for pre-edited shows like Survivor rather than live shows like Big Brother, but that's another matter)

Chanelle having six weeks of OTTM with a random MOR in between

Ammi's edgic strip, for example, would be a long line of OTTPP2, sprinkled with the odd CPP3

For those who don't know, Edgic is a combination of the words 'editing' and 'logic', as it's a system of abbreviated letters used for subjectively describing how the editing of a reality tv show looks. When devising it, you start out with ratings of these abbreviations:

UTR - Under the radar - you have little content shown
MOR - Middle of the road - you have content present but you're not very complex or over the top
OTT - Over-the-top - you're an over-the-top, practically cartoonish presence who is very exaggerated
CP - Complex personality - you drive the story, you're a very detailed person who we see a lot of the thought process about and/or learn a lot of things about, whether it be from your perspective, or the long-winded ways others describe you.

The next letter of abbreviation is tones. These are not a necessity, but they are common.

P - Positive - you're a positive presence
M - Mixed - you're a mixed presence of positive and negative attributes
N - Negative - you're a negative presence
PP - Extremely Positive
NN - Extremely Negative

And then there's your visibility of how present you are on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.

Thus the results of every possible rating + tone are

UTR
UTRP
UTRM
UTRN
MOR
MORP
MORM
MORN
OTT
OTTP
OTTM
OTTN
CP
CPP
CPM
CPN

With PP and NN being an uncommon, but still possible add-on to these, probably only the OTTP, OTTN, CPP and CPN initials. In actual tables, these are all color-coded.

In that case, a solid CPPP5 for me

Just to clarify, 'over-the-top' in edgic speak can have more than one meaning - in your case I meant that you're extremely positive, not that you're cartoonishly positive  (unless you consider yourself the Betty Boop of TiBB, in which you'd be quite literally cartoonish)

Calderyon 24-08-2019 10:40 AM
