The greenhouse effect is the effect in which the gasses in the atmosphere trap the suns warmth in the atmosphere, like a greenhouse, these gases can also damage the o zone layer, thankfully, this itself was reversable and is recovering, but the trapped warmth still causes the icebergs to melt leading to the rise of sea levels, and a general change in the weather system, which is global warming/climate change respectively.

Not really. Just different names for the same thing

Btw hole in ozone layer has been addressed by banning cfc gasses from fridges, deodorants and such. Discovered by science addressed by science.

There's some Italian guy, who is a weather anorak, he has been since a child. He's studied weather and says what we see with today's weather is not something new. It's all to do with the sun, not us. We can't do a thing.

Not true.
Scientists from all over the world vs an Italian anorak. Nice one

Vast majority and growing as we get more data

How can having a clean environment, green technologies and sustainable development be in any way controversial? Digi
That is something for all of us, not just liberals.

Yeah! that'll be it.

So what you're saying is that every scientist who agrees with you is honest and correct, and every one who disagrees with you is corrupt and wrong. How fortunate for you.

Twosugars 23-09-2019 05:21 PM

The facts are undeniable. All data says the climate is warming, ice is melting, sea levels rising, co2 concentration rising.
In the normal turn of events we should be experiencing slight cooling as we near the end of the current interglacial period, but the opposite is happening

Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals1 show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree*: Climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position.
Nasa

The scientific consensus is that the global average surface temperature has risen over the past century. Scientific opinion on climate change was summarized in the 2001 Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The main conclusions on global warming at that time were as follows:

The global average surface temperature has risen 0.6 ± 0.2 °C since the late 19th century, and 0.17 °C per decade in the years 1971–2001.[5]
"There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities", in particular emissions of the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide and methane.[6]
If greenhouse gas emissions continue the warming will also continue, with temperatures projected to increase by 1.4 °C to 5.8 °C between 1990 and 2100.[A] Accompanying this temperature increase will be increases in some types of extreme weather and a projected sea level rise.[7] The balance of impacts of global warming become significantly negative at larger values of warming.[8]
These findings are recognized by the national science academies of all the major industrialized nations;[9] the consensus has strengthened over time[10] and is now virtually unanimous.[11] The level of consensus correlates with expertise in climate science.[12]

Sure
But no one
can Instruct China on its Massive Coal Burning
24/7.

Fill a greenhouse with smoke and see what happens to the plants, it's not rocket science.

Oh...her age again.

Yes, I was young once...coal was burning away like nobodies business all over the world..sheesh that was a few years ago now..thank God we don't have things like mobile phones to make for all these kids so desperate for the next thing...cause that would ruin the planet..

Beso 23-09-2019 09:45 PM

Who says climate change isn't down to airwaves/beams or whatever transmits mobile data from mobiles?

Just a thought popped in to my head...has that been disproven?
