Vanessa Feltz seems like an obvious choice

yes we don't know facts, for all we know she was the one getting some abuse, and that drove her into a form of rage

so it's better to wait for more details into the story, before pointing any fingers at Caroline

but yes stepping down from LI is what needed to be done, otherwise she would've brought the show down with all this drama

Thats not what I said. I said we dont know the facts but she definitely did something. And yes the fingers should be pointed at her the same as they would be if a man had been accused

Caroline being arrested and charged and Nicky still pointing the finger at the man in the situation is everything wrong with this world.

what

not saying she didn't do something wrong, but not sure about that man being totally innocent

we don't know the whole story (yet)

You literally said she only attacked him because he was abusive.

If a former islander was going to present this series I think Montana (S3) would be a good option. Whether she would do something like this I don’t know, but I’d say she’s definitely got the personality for it and I think would be the perfect fit in my opinion.

Even Amy from last series would be pretty good I think as well?

I think Caroline has done the right thing to step down though, I was expecting it tbh.

yes that could be one theory of course which is why i said that

but i also said afterwards we can only gossip now as to what is the story, until we get facts from the police

Vanessa 17-12-2019 12:33 PM

It's a wise decision. But I hope she comes back for next year show.

Lewismacfarlane 17-12-2019 12:40 PM

I think Maura would have been perfect but she's doing dancing on ice

Yes, it's a shame she can't do it. What about Amber? She could do it.

She is under criminal investigation so something happened. We dont know facts

But a fact I do know is if caroline was a male noone would feel sorry for her. Nooone would question if it was true or not either.

In the days of fairness and equality, men matter too, and she shouldnt be given special treatment

You’ve said it yourself , she’s under investigation - she hasn’t been found guilty and we aren’t aware of the facts. What we *do* know is that the alleged victim has spoken out publicly on behalf of Caroline.

To me, she’s innocent until proven otherwise.

But Ant took a break from TV when that incident happened. Flack might be back in the summer.

Marsh. 17-12-2019 09:46 PM

Tbf, if ITV are forcing her out of the job then it is a gross double standard.

However, if it's giving her time away to sort out her personal issues before returning next summer then it's no different really.

Hope Emily Attack takes over.

He maybe realised that life won’t be quite as easy without all her money ...

It’s slightly different isn’t it, given the show is about couples if Ant drove drunkenly through the queue auditioning for BGT I could see the correlation, her behaviour is the exact opposite of the premise of the show, plus Ant went straight to rehab, she seems to be denying an issue, it depends on whether the advertisers will work with her in the future I suppose rather than a straight ITV decision.

Indeed if she’s found guilty of assault then I’d suggest that her days in the public eye are OVER ..
