I have no doubt that Trump talked about Biden, he probably moans to everyone about everyone else. But i doubt he asked for espionage from the President of ... Ukraine :joker: a country which is barely out of Russia's thumb and that requires foreign aid is hardly gonna send James Bond.

thesheriff443 18-12-2019 10:39 PM

It’s just mud throwing, it will get to the senate and be thrown out.

20 members of his own party would have vote against him.

It's only mud slinging if you choose to ignore the facts.

But yes, it will get thrown out because you can't expect 20 republicans to uphold the law when Mitch McConnell is so brazen and proud of the fact that he is planning on flouting the constitution to get a guilty man acquitted.

Republicans and the Right Wing only believe in justice when it benefits them.

The allegation is that he asked the Ukrainian president to dig up dirt on Biden... how would that not be espionage?

That's not espionage, that's abuse of power and it's not so much an allegation as a known thing now. Even the republicans aren't denying it, they're just trying to spin it to suit them.

Espionage is spying and espionage in another country wouldn't be an impeachable offence typically because it's something all nations do but threatening to hold relief that was agreed upon in order to try to gain a personal advantage over a rival is an abuse of power..

I wasn't saying Trump carried out the espionage, I was saying the allegation was that he asked the Ukrainian president to carry it out :joker:

Or at least that's what's being alledged, by an anonymous person who didn't even hear the phone call.

He asked it publicly of China so why is it so hard to believe that he did it privately as well?

If he publicly asked China to do it, why would he do it privately with the Ukraine?

Because he’s a moron who has no idea how anything is supposed to work and does what he wants, when he wants and expects to get away with it

Then why wouldn't he do it publicly?

The democrats have put all their efforts into this partizan show trial instead of picking a decent candidate to go against Trump, its pathetic to watch. :(

It’s true, and this will probably make him more popular.

It’s all bark and no bite.

it's just highlighted for me what a mess USA politics is in. Listening to the GOP trying to defend Trump is embarrassing

The funny thing is that the American people will probably vote for another 4 years of Trump, and that's democracy.

Clinton was impeached and left with an approval rating higher than any previous president

A good day to bury bad news...

As impeachment was being debated, an appeals court delivered a long-awaited*ruling*on the*Affordable Care Act. The court said that the “individual mandate” provision of Obamacare was unconstitutional while punting a broader decision on whether the entire law was valid.
