Piers on GMB and the majority of newspapers have been pushing stories about the impending national doom if Jeremy Corbyn got into power for the past few months, did they not stop to think of the children being influenced by their opinions? Cause kids hear and read things constantly when they’re around their parents, are young people only allowed to hear the opinions of the right? The rank hypocrisy of Piers and his ilk is a threat to the country imo

Kizzy 19-12-2019 09:12 AM

How dare morgan suggest someone can't give an honest answer to a question?
What about Clarkson, he is a celebrity host if a popular TV show with a wide audience, how come we're regularly subjected to his ravings on politics? He's another tory mouthpiece that's why.

Crimson Dynamo 19-12-2019 09:12 AM

he is a religionist as well so should not be allowed into schools imo

I'm sure if JC had won he would have stopped and become very respectful of him :umm2:

What annoys me in situations like these is that a person who seems to genuinely care about those around him, young people and people who are struggling and wants to give something back are made out to be the villains by people who really don't give two ****s about helping people

I know quite a few teachers who can't stand Corbyn. Do you think they should be honest and tell the kids that he's 'a bad man' if they ask why he didn't win the election? :smug:

jet 19-12-2019 09:31 AM

The teachers could tell the kids that Corbyn supported and was friends with a terrorist group who murdered many little children like themselves. Honesty is the best policy, right?

If they want to and if the children ask their opinion then I guess so, I don't see why the need for the smug smiley like you've just proved some invisible point though?

If Stormzy had told them every bad thing Boris has ever done or said, then you might have a bit of a point, but that’s just one big false equivalence

They should be honest, would that be an honest statement to make?

Teachers should be explaining why the British govt has been propped up by the people whose corrupt scheme caused the closure at Stormont. And explain their more than murky past too. :smug:

Oh we have to have just not honesty now, but equal honesty. I didn't know the rules...

How is it an insult? I mean if you have children yourself (I have no idea if you do or not) then I'm sure you will be aware of how to be honest with a child, you don't go in all guns ablazing talking about murdered children etc, you can be honest and tactful at the same time.

Kizzy 19-12-2019 09:50 AM

Where is it written that someone should have to lie and betray their personal principles when asked a question?

Be you a rapper, a teacher or anyone?
I appreciate how subjective that is, and it is better at times to remain objective however when faced with a question on your personal opinion rather than on the parties they represent then there is no need to temper your response.

Honest and tactful at the same time - yes I would, unlike Stormzy....
God knows what goes on in childrens minds when they are told someone is 'a bad man'.

Oh give over, bad man is light, lets not pretend that the only reason you're making such a big deal about this isn't because Stormzy likes JC and Boris is his competition/opposition

Yes tactful ..don't say things like Johnson sells weapons to people who use them to kill 100s of children, never say that

Don't say he is a liar
Don't say he arranges people to attack others
Don't say he is an adulterer

When he wouldn't look at the picture of the child on the floor of A&E in Leeds general infirmary. .. whatever you do don't say he's a bad man.

Kizzy 19-12-2019 09:58 AM

Where is the evidence he is a good man? .. Genuinely interested.

I don't give a hoot about Boris, I'm not a fan, I just don't like hypocrisy. 'Bad man' may be light in your mind, it wouldn't be in the minds of children. If an influential singer had told children Corbyn is 'a bad man' I wouldn't agree with their action either, as much as I despise him. You just don't say that, particulary to other peoples children.

Not to children, no.

Not all of these champions of free speech suddenly having a problem with it. Colour me shocked.

I know you don't give a hoot about Boris, I never said you did, I said you are only bothered because he likes JC and Boris is his opposition. The hypothetical "I'd be bothered if he said the same about JC" isn't very believable to me....but if you say so...........
