[Labour leadership: Keir Starmer slams
free market as divisions grow on left
Party should not ‘trash’ the Corbyn years,
says Labour leadership favourite]

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...-labour-leader

[“We have to be bold enough to
say the free-market model doesn’t
produce, doesn’t work ... the trickle-down
effect didn’t happen,”
Starmer told a meeting
at the Mechanics’ Institute
where the TUC was formed in 1868.

“We have to rebuild an economic model
that reduces inequality
and protects working people.”]

So he thinks he is still Left
and not center left.

Lol okay Becky :pat:

That's nkt really something there's a strong yearning for, so to make it part of any campaign is just a waste of time. Focus on actual policies.

Not only that, but the Tories don't currently have a majority in the House of Lords. You'd think the Labour party would want there to be some scrutiny for the Tories...

Its Live
no time to talk before
Ian Dale just wants her (Grace) to admit
Labour's Plan was a massive fail.

They did not know she was going to shout over all of them
on the day after the General Election.

That vid does show why labour lost... there are those in the labour party that actively work against left wing politics.
They profess to be left but are firmly centrist with values akin to me more closely with the lib dems than Labour who as we know when push comes to shove align closer to the conservatives than Labour.
That's why we lost, that and the media assassination of Corbyn

Interestingly RLB is a committed Catholic

Remember how much stick JRM has gotten over being a Catholic and the Church's view on abortion
