This will be a flop , why are they so desperate to bring BB or any type of BB back, just leave it buried.

BigBrudder 02-02-2020 08:04 AM

Celebrity Big Brother was a hit on Ch 5 but ratings got diluted because they double pumped it. Jan 2021 will be two years off and the public will be ready for it. It will decimate the tiring second pump of Love Island and be a trumphant return to its original home far surpassing its ratings on Ch 5!!!

Brekkie 02-02-2020 08:26 AM

After ten years Big Brother is coming home (maybe).

Although I'd much rather have just the civilian series over celeb, and I think any new series really should look to the future when it comes to presenters and format, I think for now a C4 revival of just Celebrity Big Brother, if done just once a year, might be just about right, paving the way for civilian to return in a couple of years. Davina could return for that, and if not Davina I'd be OK with Dermot - but Emma and Rylan are tarred by the C5 brush so need to be kept away from it.

Also glad house wise they'll have to start from scratch - the show has needed a new location since the latter years of the original C4 run.

It’s what should have been happening for the past 10 years in the first place (just one CBB a year in January).

As above - definitely no Rylan

I’d have Brian ( season 2 winner ?)

Maybe Maya Jama

Should be rested for another 2 years but I won't complain if it returns next year.

Hate to break it guys, but apparently Big Blagger's been contacted by Channel 4, who's denied that they're bringing it back, take a look https://twitter.com/bigblagger/statu...84628894912512

However it's also been noted that Ch4 could just be in the early stages of talks and as such wouldn't be willing to confirm anything, so I don't know, just thought it'd be good to put this out there.

Jake. 02-02-2020 01:32 PM

Yeah, they’d never confirm anything so early on

Cal. 02-02-2020 01:37 PM

She’s coming!

Yeah, somehow we all know Channel 4 will confirm nothing until a deal has been agreed, best take this with a pinch of salt, but hope this is true.

Samm 02-02-2020 06:51 PM

feel like it's still to early give it until 2023 at least + C4 airing CBB and E4 airing BB sounds like a good concept, arguably E4 is a rival channel to ITV2 so it would make most sense to try and bring a new summer reality tv show to the channel to combat love island.

BBDodge 03-02-2020 10:39 AM

C4's statement said " “We have no plans to bring back Celebrity Big Brother or Big Brother to Channel 4.”

They do have other channels, though.

The 'reborn' thing sounds like a terrible idea, just have a normal cbb with a good cast in January once a year and leave regular BB out there's no demand for it and even cbb might be a bit soon.

Looking back at what c5 did to the show over the years, no wonder its buried in the ground now.

Jigs 04-02-2020 03:26 PM

We just want CBB! Once a year. No big twists, just an incredible dynamic cast with 14-16 celebs similar to CBB15, CBB17 or CBB19.

I was just reading that Endemol have persuaded 6 countries (Aus, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Greece and Portugal) to make a comeback, UK to be a 7th?

Germany technically not a whole comeback since they still had the celeb bb, but now just made a return to civilian bb too (because they knew of the 20 yrs since first BB episode)

[The plans are so secret
staff are using a code name for the show
in texts and emails. If a deal is struck,
they plan to air the new series next January.

Our source added: “Producers want to
feature controversial stars
who have bad reputations.
They plan to give the series the tagline
of Reborn because it will be a chance
for the celebs to be just that…reborn
with a new public image.]

Under a month to Go
if they (Ch4) are to start a New Series.

It would Go Front Page
Anger
Joy
Happiness

I think we would have heard something if there was a series next month.

i definitely agree. but, if it is true, that’s amazing honestly (however it’s been a year or so since this thread started and there’s still nothing new)

Beastie 11-12-2021 07:46 PM

Screw the celeb version. I want civilians! Please get rid of Love Island and The Circle and bring BB back with Live Feed. Summer 2022 😉
