TiBB Music Festival: Oslo 04
Contest Update

We have 30 songs (same number as last edition)! Now the editing of the Semi-Final begins.

Plus I am changing the voting system to the one I currently use for Veggie Brother finals (with one change). Every country's jury will give out 4-8, 10, and 12 points. The televoting however will be done with 1 set of 1,560 points (52 points from each of the 30 participating countries). The points given for the televoting will be based off of proportional representation, but everyone voting will be relegated to just one vote per device to avoid another TiBB Eurovision 2018 incident from happening.

Morgan. 28-02-2020 12:22 PM

I don’t really understand the voting?

Josiah. 28-02-2020 01:03 PM

Morgan, the televoting points will be like this example: Say Algeria get 10% of the public vote. I would multiply 10% by 1,560. Algeria would get 156 points.

I have set the voting form to be submitted once per device. This is due to a certain someone no longer on the forum voting hundreds of times and rigging the public voting of TiBB Eurovision 2018 in Kirk's favour.

The semi-final video is in the process of exporting to my hard drive right now, so the video will be ready to go for tomorrow evening. Good luck to all.

Josiah. 03-03-2020 03:54 AM

The semi-final is tonight at 8pm. See you then.

Josiah. 03-03-2020 01:58 PM

Slight change to the time of the contest. It will be happening very, very shortly.

Josiah. 03-03-2020 04:41 PM

God kveld Oslo! Welcome to the Semi-Final.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————

Just as stated in the video, you can vote by sending me a private message as well as by the survey listed below.

FOR JURY VOTING: You must send in 1 set of 4-8, 10, and 12 points. You cannot under any circumstance vote for your own country. If you are participating with more than one country, please send all votes in one PM, and please have some differences between your sets of votes. All members of the Big 6 must vote.

FOR TELEVOTING: Click the picture below to go to the survey. You will be able to vote for the 3, 4, or 5 countries that you want to see in the final. You can vote once per device. You will be able to vote for your own country.

Voting closes at 5:00pm BT on Friday.

Good luck to all and...

Why are people ignoring this? It's really sad because I've put so much work into this and I feel like no one cares about this anymore.

Josiah. 03-03-2020 07:10 PM

So far, a decent influx of televoters (by that, I mean 6). We also have the votes from 9 countries, including 4 of the Big 6.

Josiah. 03-03-2020 08:57 PM

The televoting percentages are really close, so keep voting on that.

To Calderyon, Liam, Adam, and Nicky: please send in your points as soon as possible.

Josiah. 04-03-2020 06:29 AM

Okay, voting closes on Friday, but you still have time to vote.

Calderyon, WickedSkengMan, and Nicky, I need your vote as soon as possible.

The televoting percentages are very, very close. I haven't seen anything this close in a long time.

And with how the juries have voted so far, no one has received the dreaded nul points.

Nicky91 04-03-2020 07:34 AM

sent my votes in now

very interesting, diverse edition this one is :flutter:

Josiah. 04-03-2020 09:25 AM

Very true Nicky, and it's really interesting seeing the differences between the jury vote and the televote right now.

Josiah. 04-03-2020 09:52 AM

20 of the 30 participating countries have voted.

Calderyon and WickedSkengMan, I need your vote as soon as possible.

Calderyon 04-03-2020 02:12 PM

So my 5 countries cannot vote for any of my 5 countries?

They can. For example - I have UK, US and SK.

UK can’t vote for themselves, but they can for the US etc

Calderyon 04-03-2020 02:22 PM

OK.

I gathered it being something like that, but had to ask cause it wasn't specifically mentioned in the voting rules.

Josiah. 04-03-2020 03:38 PM

It's only in the televoting that you can vote for your own country, because everyone is voting anonymously.

Now we wait for WickedSkengMan to vote.

Nicky91 04-03-2020 03:42 PM

what??? :o you can vote for yourselves :o

Josiah. 04-03-2020 03:55 PM

It's just for the televote (like JESC and TiBB Eurovision 2018).

So, is my jury voting valid?

Or do i need to edit?

Josiah. 04-03-2020 08:15 PM

Calderyon, your votes are valid.
