Who's pretending?

Not my problem that you're so narrow-minded

Marc's original point wasn't even about Fife.

But, yes, LT can't be seen to be accommodating, wouldn't want the big footie lads thinking he's gay. :worry:

Although men can wear it for theatre or tv

Not that I’m not conventional by modern standards either but men started wearing these things long before women. Same goes for pink, long hair and high heels.

Why do you find that hard to believe?

It's not the 70s anymore

Men wore these things in the 1570s. I think the issue’s with baby boomers thinking their generation is the most ancient.

Oh no, I meant it more as it not being the 70s when people weren't very accepting of it, etc unlike nowadays

Yes people seem to get very confused with the whole age ranges of these categories, a lot of folk who think they're millennials aren't either, 25 is the youngest age of a millennial and everyone seems to forget Gen X which a lot of people accused of being "boomers" are.

'Boomer' is supposed to be an insult, after the boomers are the silent generation who were born before the war or during and they are also being lumped in, it's ignorance really, and just a pathetic way to attack people, basically gen x, baby boomer and silent gen are all boomers in some peoples eyes, and yes 4 to 19 are gen Z, not millennials at all

My 11 year old nephew thinks he's a millennial and my brother (his dad) is a boomer, neither are correct, in fact at 43 my brother is much closer to being a millennial than my nephew :idc:

Livia 05-03-2020 09:49 AM

I'm mostly in a bit of tinted moisturiser, mascara and a bit of lip gloss. I do make more of an effort when I'm going out though.

“Baby boomers (boomers for short) are the demographic cohort following the Silent Generation and preceding Generation X. The generation is most often defined as individuals born between 1946 and 1964, during the post–World War II baby boom.”

Either way you’re definitely not part of the silent generation.

Not on me.

Not satisfied with hating each other because of skin colour, religion etc. etc... we now have the tools to blame and hate each other based on when we were born.

The irony is more lost on them than it is on Americans.

Gen X is before baby boomers

The Silent Generation: Born 1928-1945 (74-91 years old)
Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (55-73 years old)
Generation X: Born 1965-1980 (39-54 years old)
Millennials: Born 1981-1996 (23-38 years old)
Generation Z: Born 1997-2012 (7-22 years old)

Apparently it's a thing with kids and teens who think they're millennials but they're not and they use boomers as an insult to people who they think are boomers but they're usually wrong about that too [emoji23]

AnnieK 05-03-2020 12:30 PM

My son is 9....I was telling him off for something the other day and he said "ok Boomer"

He is now locked in his room until he is 55 - 73 years old
