The best part about slow cooking is when you forget you did it in the morning and then you get to 6pm like "Oh crap what's for dinner? Wait! Yaaaasssss"

ok 2 points of order

1. Dinner is lunchtime so 12-1pm

2. 6pm is not 8.30 pm when you should be eating your tea

My kids are in bed by 8.30pm LT, I don't want them stinking up my evening :nono:.

We do actually tend to feed the kids at around 6 and then eat after the kids are in bed though. We only eat together at weekends 'cos we're bad parents.

Can’t beat a slow cooked beef stew!

Cherie 14-03-2020 11:03 AM

I haven't used my slow cooker at all this winter, but yes chili from a slow cooker is the best

Look at you lot with your slow cooking and your made from scratch stir fries....

Beans on toast with grated cheese. Takes five minutes and is food of the Gods. And it's made from scratch. Apart from the beans....

I had a friend at school who called this "Cheesy Beanoes" and now you'll never be able to have it again without thinking of that hilarious name.

Bag of spinach
Smoked haddock
Creme fresh
Paprika and chilli flakes

Lay the fish on the spinach....cover the fish with creme fresh, sprinkle paprika and chill flakes and bake for 35 mins.

Lots of iron, omega 3 and tasty. Use reduced fat creme fresh to reduce calories..

Oh I'd do proper cooking if you came to dinner. Something that you pop the film lid on and microwave for 5 minutes.

Zizu 15-03-2020 12:08 PM
