Racism = hateful, ignorance.

Homosexuality = normal.

The two are not comparable. I don't think people kick up more of a fuss about racism and I think you need to explain yourself. I sense that you feel discrimination solely on the grounds of race is actually not that big a deal. You need to explain. You're very close to showing either a racist or homophobic attitude.

Racism and Homophobism are the two fears. They are what must be compared.

Racism and homosexuals cant be compared , it dont make sense. Homosexuals would relate to , say , black people. The two groups of whats causing the phobia or whatever.
