According to a poll, BLM has increased racial tension by 55% in the UK.

Tom4784 29-11-2020 12:58 PM

Yeah, racists don't like hearing that black lives matter, their white supremacy mindsets can't hear 'I matter as well' without converting it to 'I matter, you do not' because that's how they think.

I imagine the idea of black people saying that they matter too is really getting the racists' backs up.

Hmmm I'd suggest blm is a product of a 55% increase in racial tension personally.

Yeah, like those protesters yesterday protesting because their lives matter. I don't think racists like hearing that their lives matter either. They just get called "Gammon" if they dare to speak up for themselves.

Get some perspective ... they are protesting for the right to spread a virus that could kill 1000s.

And you wonder why some question the mindset of others :/

That is definitely not what they're protesting for, so you get some perspective.

You seriously believe they're protesting for the right to spread a virus?

Mr Prime Minister

Can we please have the right to spread a virus?

Glenn. 29-11-2020 02:42 PM

If you’re protesting against a lockdown which has been put in place to stop the spread of a virus then kizzy is right. You know that of course but you seem to relish going against everything.

How long would you have to live in lock down before you had enough?

2 years?
5 years?
20 years?
50 years?

What would be your breaking point if they just kept going with it?

We're on our way to our 1 year anniversary and have just rebranded the term Lockdown to now become the tier system.

Your fear shouldn't be a reason to suppress their rights to live free and try and make a living for themselves.

To be fair I don't totally disagree with you Alf - I think some things (social distancing, wearing masks, banning mass gatherings) are something we just have to accept for a while but there are other aspects that veer into "worrying" territory, for me. A major one is the recent legal restrictions on movement ("stay within your county or you're breaking the law"). As general ADVICE I don't mind it, but legally requiring it? The government says you MUST stay in your own little designated area or you're breaking the law? It's a step beyond, and I find it a concerning precedent that's now been set.

WingsFan1 29-11-2020 03:52 PM

Black lives matter if you disagree please go back to school

Oliver_W 29-11-2020 04:13 PM

Neither set of protests were particularly well-advised, no matter what they claim to stand for.

'Our lives matter, so we're protesting to carry on living our lives as normal because no one matters but us!'

That's the logic behind every anti-masker moron. To compare BLM to that rabble of should-have-been abortions is plain foolish. One is a protest against police brutality, the other is a protest in favour of letting a virus kill people.

They just want to be free to live life.

They've got nothing against you, if you want to live in fear and can afford to keep locked down, and want to wear a mask, then that's your choice, let them have their choice.

Their mindset is. They'd rather take their chances with Covid, which I believe has a 99% survival rate (feel free to correct me on that if I'm wrong) than die in poverty, or from depression, which is more certain than Covid.

Tom4784 29-11-2020 07:03 PM

They want to be free to infect and kill others because they feel slightly inconvenienced by measures that wouldn't be a problem if they didn't find a piece of fabric on their face to be such an attack on their 'rights'.

They are deeply stupid, selfish ***** and I can only laugh at them for being so repugnantly selfish.

Their mindset is 'I'll probably be okay so **** everyone else! Kids, we might kill nan but we'll have ourselves a normal christmas, godamnit!' Awful people that reject science because they are fragile and being told facts they don't like upsets them.

Losing business's and livelihoods is a little bit more than being slightly inconvenienced. Not to mention people who have been stopped from seeing their loved ones and can't even attend loved ones funerals. It's a dystopian horror show and inhumane.

Like I said earlier. There's no way people's fear should trump people's freedom. Too many people sacrificed themselves for that freedom. It's our duty to preserve it.

But their selfish way of thinking is allowed to kill many more people?

Give me the rock solid proof of that and I'll agree with you. Otherwise, your opinion doesn't trump their freedom.

What a disgusting thing to say. People didn't make the ultimate sacrifice so a bunch of gammon can go out and spread a ****ing virus. These ****ing idiots are not defending their rights, they're trying to make out that they have the right to infect and kill others and by trying to rationalise such insanity, you are no better.

I have no time for these ****ing anti-mask morons and their whining when it is they who are preventing us from going back to normal because they can't sit at home for a few weeks.

These people are dangerous morons who are willing to let people die if it means they can go to the ****ing pub, **** everything about them. I only wish the worst for them.

Glenn. 29-11-2020 07:27 PM

If you cant see or will deliberately ignore the fact that thousands of people protesting in close proximity to each other, not wearing masks, in the middle of a pandemic that is killing people won’t spread the virus even further then I can’t help you. That’s common sense.
