Round the corner from my mum's place is a JW hall which was literally built in a day, they flocked from all over the place to help with it.

Aw thats good. Yeah there are so many that volunteer for free to build them and people are always suprised how fast the work is (im rubbish at construction etc so i dont volunteer haha)

People give us a bad rap mostly but there is a lot of good that we do.

(Dont look at me as a representation im not the best of examples haha)

There's a big JW Hall near me and on the weekends when it is open, people arrive in coachloads, all dressed up, even the kids in suits and dresses, and they all look so nice :)

I know you don't celebrate birthdays or Christmas or anything but do you have any days of celebration?

Do you live in northenden annie?

Yeah we make an effort haha

We celebrate wedding anniversarys so all the kids get presents for them. When its my mum and dads anniversary for instance we all get the kids in the family presents. They have never felt left out of anything i never felt left out growing up. At christmas time we see each other and spend time with each other and actually my mum and dads anniversary is in december so that helps

Nope dont celebrate birthdays. Religious reasons. But it still feels a big deal to turn 30!

Can you just give a bit more info on your religion, please? No probs if you don't want to.

I thought so in the way you said coach parties

How that works....there are 9 million of us in the world. Unsure how many there are in the Uk alone. But we have a few assembly halls around the country. We have a lot of kindgom halls and congregations. So every now and again quite a few congregations meet at the assembly halls. Its a nice atmosphere and we have a whole day of talks and association. Every summer(not this time because of the virus) a lot more congregations from over the country meet in even bigger locations for a whole weekend

Eg Liverpool echo arena, manchester evening news arena, the hippodrome etc. There are 10000+ at each one of them so already you get a sense of how many there are in this country

But once in the week and on a sunday we hold a local meeting at a kingdom hall(about 100 people) in fact there is one across the road from that assembly hall

At the moment these meetings arent on because of the virus so they are held over zoom instead and we have been given the guidance that this will be the way until at least next year even if lockdown is eased because we value health and safety so highly

(I feel bad saying all this stuff as I havent been the best example on here as I have tried to fit in with every one else so there may be a few posts dotted around that put me in a bad light but im working on it)

But yeah there is a ton of info on jw.org

Feel free anyone to ask me questions I like discussing it
