I may be wrong but honestly I'd assume this is some kind of suicide.

Her last tweet seems very ominous in retrospect, and I can't help but wonder if she originally wanted to "take" him with her but then had some last-minute change of heart before doing it and leaving him on the boat.

I don't know, this is obviously all conjecture, but... I don't see how "I left my 4 year old on the boat and went for a swim without the lifejacket and accidentally got swept away" happens. All I know is that if she was indeed depressed, and suicidal, thank god she had some (last-minute) clarity and spared her son.

(Obviously I apologise if it does turn out to be a massive freak accident, it just... makes more sense to me that this is what's transpired)

Tbh this was my first thought too

Such a sad situation though and I hope she's found

Not sure about the suicide theory, wasn't one of her last posts on twitter about a new book?

I doubt someone considering ending their life would ask a fan what they'd like to see her write about.

Smithy 09-07-2020 10:12 AM

Her cover of If I Die Young is the top result for the glee cast on AM now :(

Denver 09-07-2020 10:15 AM

Her son said Mummy jumped in the water and didn't come back up

Cherie 09-07-2020 10:16 AM

Poor kid, would you put a life vest on a child you were going to drown

and would you take him with you to your suicide, he would be damaged forever, I would imagine its a tragic accident

Yeah i think so too

Saph 09-07-2020 10:57 AM

if she had of drowned, wouldn't the body have resurfaced pretty quickly?

Not really, she could have been originally caught on something that stopped her resurfacing

Only after about a week apparently

Was it definitely just her and her son on this boat ?, I'm wondering if someone else is involved . just seems very strange :puzzled: .

Braden 09-07-2020 12:53 PM

God, what awful news.

I do hope she's found safe, but it doesn't look good whatsoever.

UserSince2005 09-07-2020 02:16 PM

So sad, I've always liked her since Glee, and shes been on Rupauls Drag Race once or twice.

Suicide seems the logical conclusion to all this.
You wouldn't jump off a boat to go for a swim leaving your 4 year old son alone if you were in any sane mind.

It is rather strange that her son says she went for a swim and then he went to sleep but I guess he is only 4.

The only other explanation would be she slipped or even pushed off by the son, presumably playfully.
Hopefully he can give a better explanation to what happened in the coming days.

Either way I know from experience that once you are off a pontoon boat they are very hard to get back on to unless you have a ladder, which I haven't seen on pictures of the boat.

So sad.

Ever since they banned me 6 months ago it ain't been nothing but bad news in the world. Now I'm back hopefully things will get better.

Ninastar 09-07-2020 05:00 PM

I thought suicide when I first found out she was missing. But idk if she would do that in front of her son. Unless she was planning on taking him with her... but maybe she realised how much she couldn’t do that, felt so much shame and swam away so he didn’t have to see it...

Idk man, I have so many questions and I’m so confused and upset

I know from personal experience that when you’re about to commit suicide, your brain is in a frenzy... you are 100% not all there and you make crazy decisions.

This whole thing is ****ed up

Dogeatdog 09-07-2020 08:14 PM

This is awful, I hope she is found safe and well and that it isn’t a suicide or some type of freak accident. I feel so sorry for both her and her child :(

Barry. 09-07-2020 09:29 PM

So sad. Hope she is alive :(.

LukeB 09-07-2020 09:36 PM

I can't stop thinking about this

Such sad news, i was a big fan of her on Glee! i know the chances are low but i really hope she's alive and safe.

Marsh. 09-07-2020 10:41 PM

Bloody hell, what is it with this show?

Josiah. 10-07-2020 06:06 PM

Officials are now saying that her body may never be found in Lake Piru, due to the lake's low visibility..

UserSince2005 10-07-2020 06:19 PM

i dont get it. dont dead bodies float in water?

rusticgal 10-07-2020 06:22 PM

You surely wouldn’t leave your 4 year old on a boat alone...life jacket or not. It must have been an accident and she’s fallen...it’s not looking good for her.

UserSince2005 10-07-2020 06:32 PM

They need to find her soon or the conspiracy theories will ensue.
