Because that’s the thing you go to when someone is called scum? Not the fact he voted against feeding children. You think she called him scum because he’s gay?

Do you know what don’t even bother responding. I’m not interested in your opinion on it.

Didnt you see the thread starters name before reading what they had to say?

queen

Cherie 22-10-2020 09:40 AM

Be careful what you wish for, this is creeping in more and more into society and we are becoming desentistised when it does not directly involve us , imagine a colleague at work turning around and calling you scum..let that sit for a while, pretty sure you wouldn't be going  Queen! and if it happened on the forum people would be reaching for the report button for sure

Kazanne 22-10-2020 09:48 AM

Maybe he voted against it as it will come out of tax payers money, maybe the public should be asked if they want to do that, Ide be happy to ,but would everybody ? everything is not as black and white as the media like to portray.

Good point there kaz..I'm like you I wouldn't mind paying a little extra cash to pay for this, but not everyone can afford that little extra and it's not the fairest thing to do..

Liam- 22-10-2020 09:54 AM

Would have been funnier if she called him a twat

They don’t mind squandering our money on useless propaganda, or handing out hundreds of millions to give adults a half price lunch out to help the economy, why would they bother worrying if we want to feed hungry kids? That logic is completely nonsensical., we’ve never gotten a say in what happens with our tax money before, to think they’ve suddenly developed a curiosity for public demand is frankly, ludicrous

would you be happy to be abused in your place of work?

If I’d done something to warrant being called a twat, I’d take it on the chin like a grown up

I asked you about being abused in your workplace which is what happened to him, what you think would be funny is irrelevant

It is pretty black and white though. The public are never asked asked these things, so why would we be now? Trying to find an excuse for them on this seems a bit beneath you if I'm honest, especially as a parent.

She shouldn’t have called him it there and then, she shouldn’t have lowered herself to their level and she’s apologised, it was impolite, but she perfectly captured a large chunk of the countries feelings on this scenario and it was pretty funny

They should be acknowledged as such, Angela shouldn't have apologised. Anyone who votes against feeding children is scum, do you not agree?

Tom4784 22-10-2020 10:46 AM

Would the same people be outraged about this if it was a Tory calling Labour scum? Just wondering.

we have to hope like the Dominic Cummings effect people don't take it on themselves to abuse others in their workplace because they don't agree with them and then point out that an apology will suffice

we could test it out on TiBB maybe see if Niamh is run off her feet :D:
