Saw the videos last night, the pure terror in the girls voice actually breaks my heart. :/

This was all over social media sites yesterday with the image of him being shared as the police were apparently still looking for him

....yeah, it was on our local radio as well yesterday and I thought would be a huge media story this morning ...but maybe it was held back until he had been arrested...

I saw this yesterday,bloody awful,and very brave of that lady to follow him, hope the girl is ok.

I cant watch the video id find it too upsetting. That poor girl. Thank goodness for those women

A 26-year-old man has been charged with rape and kidnap over an alleged attack on a teenage girl in south-west London.

Kadian Nelson was arrested on Tuesday night after police urged him to hand himself in for his own safety.

It came after a teenage girl was allegedly raped in the North Place area of Mitcham, near Colliers Wood, shortly after 7am on Tuesday.

Officers had initially released an image of Nelson, who is from the Mitcham area, following the alleged attack.

After angry groups gathered at addresses in the area, police urged local residents not to take the law into their own hands.

Mitcham and Morden MP Siobhain McDonagh tweeted a statement, saying: “I’m pleased to report that a man has this morning been charged following the truly awful attack that occurred in Mitcham on Tuesday.

“All our thoughts remain with the victim. My heart goes out to her.”

Nelson, from the Mitcham area, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

A teenage girl and her family continue to be supported by specialist officers, a Met spokesman said.

...an update, Kadian Nelson pleaded guilty to kidnapping and raping the 13yr old child...I wonder why the sentencing isn’t until mid August, I didn’t think sentencing usually took that long...?...

A man has admitted kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl on her way to school.

Kadian Nelson, 27, sexually assaulted the schoolgirl in an alleyway in Mitcham, south London, last November.

He pleaded guilty on Monday to kidnap and rape, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said, having been charged last November.

Nelson followed his victim on 3 November before creeping up behind her and putting one hand over her mouth and another on her head.

He also threatened to kill the girl and forced her to walk towards an alleyway, the CPS added.
