Actually prefer E&R to P&H quite a bit so I'm gutted.

feel stuck in the middle about this

luv Ruth, but i kinda dislike Eamonn

Cherie 15-11-2020 10:03 AM

Is it people not getting Eamonn’s sense of humour, I thought that ‘squabbling’ was part of their stich, Andi Peters to take over from Holly would be the ultimate woke move, here for it

I don’t watch the show, but when I have seen them together they seem quite happy, why would you want to drive a wedge through someone’s marriage? that seems bizarre and unwarranted for a couple you just know through TV

I can't bear Phil and Holly.
I'm not too keen on Alison either.
Sorry like.

Yeah honestly this show is a tiring bore

rusticgal 15-11-2020 01:29 PM

I like them both...they compliment each other really well as a couple and their little 'squabbles' make them more endearing and realistic.
I also like Alison and Dermot...but I will miss Alison as the 'roving' reporter. She is in her element amongst the public and I cant see her covering serious issues on the settee...I hope Im wrong.

Why couldn't it be the weak & embarrassing fraud Philip? He literally stamped allover his wifes heart and lied to her for decades.

I’ve seen him on programs by himself plus on radio and never liked him. .. I’ve always thought of him as being a bit sleazy .

I’m thinking that they’ve lost their plum role due to the endless viewer complaints about him .

You don’t think its anything to do with introducing more diversity

Be careful as a straight white man of a certain age you might be next

Apparently he and Ruth are well liked by the ITV team, if it were about complaints they wouldn’t be replacing Phil and Holly in the six week holidays

I like Alison but even she must think it suss that she was only considered for this role after 20 years with the show

Im sure I read that he was building his own living quarters as an extention to their present home... I mean its not like his kids are young but I guess they are both happy with the arrangements. I dont know if thats true but maybe thats what he is referring to....living seperatley lives on the same premises for the sake of their children
It wouldnt be my preferred scenario thats for sure......at least bugger off around the corner and let me move on with my life.

Exactly..but shes not stupid...I love Alison but I just dont think its the right move. I just cant see her discussing serious issues...however I wish her the best. Its a great promotion for her.

Eamonn Holmes was accused of being opposed to LGBT parenting when he told two gay interviewees in a 2000 GMTV episode that "You are not meant to have children. You are going against nature!"

Whilst presenting This Morning in October 2011, Holmes described singer Jonathan Wilkes as "retarded" on air. He later apologised after complaints and calls for him to be sacked.

In October 2011, Holmes provoked criticism by suggesting that a rape victim should take taxis in future, leading to accusations of victim blaming.[39]

On 12 May 2016, Eamonn Holmes provoked criticism by comparing an attack by West Ham fans to the Hillsborough disaster.

There are an endless array of controversies surrounding him ..

2011, 2013, 2016, yet it took until 2020 to move him on, maybe you can explain the 4 year delay :) and he will be presenting 4 days a week for six weeks, that really sounds like they want rid

How fast did the act on Jeremy Kyle, off air straight off...if they wanted him gone he would be
