So I guess the long-standing convention I never understood... is people willingly drinking instant coffee. YUK.

Have you ever tried this one though, it's as good as cafetiere coffee imo

The posh powdery ones are better than the cheap granulesy ones but if you think they're even close to a proper brewed coffee or esperesso you are woefully incorrect and must be making those wrong :nono:.

Also TS, you didn't answer the question, have you tasted that particular one?

Cherie 09-01-2021 11:04 AM

Hot chocolate has to be made with milk and any other way is an abomination :oh:

Yeah my wife gets it to take to her work... Because she says it tastes closest to a real coffee... :hmph:

Also it does make a nice mocha if you stir a spoonful into a hot chocolate :hee:

Oh Jesus, I love that, it's delicious!

Yeah Azera is top tier stuff. And the Nescafe Gold powder. Powder over granules. I'd rather a bog standard, suburban Maxwell House over some fancy coffee. To me coffee is largely a muddy brown poo potion for masochists too scared to do real cocaine.

Needing coffee to stay awake is a good long standing convention that makes no sense, actually. The first one wakes you up, if you have a caffeine habit. Subsequent cups do nothing. Drink a pint of water.

Why we are on the subject of beverages why do people squeeze the teabag? Letting it brew gives the perfect taste but squeezing the bag leaves it tasting bitter and nasty

I suppose some people like it bitter and/or don't want to "waste" what's it in and use it to the maximum capacity. I don't get it either, but I think it's not the majority of cases.

FALSE you have clearly never experienced the productivity spike of a proper 6-shots-deep espresso buzz.

First double get me going... Let's me wake up... Answer a few emails... Drink more coffee. Then the buzz HITS and I do my full 8 hour day in under two hours... Largely finished by noon... Do nowt the rest of the day except play some games, watch some shows, argue with some Tibbers and stay available on Teams to pretend to be doing stuff.

Coffee is KEY to the burst of focus needed for this strategy.

Impatience mostly, from what I've seen. People tend to under-brew (giving it 2 mins instead of 5, which it needs) and leave it weak, so they squeeze to compensate which does indeed make it bitter. Always give your tea 5 mins :hee:.

How are you?
Great. How are you?
Good.
OK bye.

Its so ****ing pointless. Answer any of these people honestly and say 'not good actually, am having a quite ****ty day' and I have found its still only

'oh, sorry about that, bye'

Utterly utterly pointless drivel.

Not surprising this thread focuses on tea/coffee though. Never change tibb :D
