Trump already pardoned people who were in jail or facing jail who didn't spill the beans on him. They knew they would be pardoned if they kept quiet. As abuse of power goes, it's right up there with the best of them

If the guy commits animal cruelty then I'd personally keep him locked up for life.

What Trump will do is more than likely the total opposite.:joker:

Is it correct that being pardoned also means they cannot be put back in jail for the crime too? Like, this would not be something easily reversible like the cancellations of various laws..

i think once, the incoming president negated the pardons of the previous president, but the only reason he was able to do that was because all the relevant paperwork hadn't finished being submitted. So, that's why Trump is doing it the day before he leaves, as that gives time for the paperwork to be finalised

He shouldn't, but I wouldn't count it out. Joe Exotic attempted to murder someone and his abuses against animals are numerous, nevermind the fact that he is a ****ty human being that groomed two men into marrying him, getting them addicted to drugs, and driving one of them to suicide.

Joe Exotic is exactly where he belongs.

I definitely agree he groomed those guys and was a ****ty person but I don't think Travis committed suicide? Not on purpose anyway, looked like that was accidental

Just to complete the picture a bit, both Clinton and Bush pardoned people serving their own interests rather than those of the country. Nothing like the nonsense pardons from Trump, but they set the precedent. In a similar way, at Trumps certification, several Dems objected to the vote of states at that time, with no basis for doing so. So while Trump has taken things to a new level of absurdity, the dems actually did these things first

The levels involved here are completely different, and I'm not defending Clinton. For starters, just dangling pardons so folks wouldn't work with/give testimony to Mueller, versus Clinton appearing at his own impeachment. There is no precedent for how Trump has used pardons, taking either bush or Clinton into consideration.

Oh, I thought it was suicide, he shot himself in the head, no? It's been a while since I watched it so I might be forgetting the details.

He did shoot himself in the head, by accident... he had taken the clip out of the gun and thought that the type of gun he was waving about didn't hold a round in the chambre... but it does... and to demonstrate that it was not loaded... he shot himself in the face with it . I swear it was only sheer luck of the draw for the other guy that he didn't point it at him and click the trigger instead :umm2:

Yeah, he did have it pointed at the other guy first but he told him not to point it him and Travis said - look it's not loaded (or something similar) pointed it at himself and pulled the trigger

Oh, I remember the awful clip they showed of it, but can't remember the details. Even so, I'd still blame Joe Exotic for drugging him up to the point that he'd do something like that.

Yeah, it's what I remember clearly, probably why I thought it was suicide, couldn't remember what led up to it.

Oh yeah, you could definitely say that. Do you remember his funeral as well, he was so disrespectful the way he spoke about him, with his mother sitting there as well.

Yeah, he definitely did groom young guys with drugs & money... the other husband had one of the most compelling tales in the show I think. I think he's living a pretty normal life now, off drugs, remarried and teeth fixed. Unrecognizable from the poor soul in the documentary tbh. I think he appeared on the "Zoom Update" thing at the end of the show

I recall, he's such an odious human being, I don't know how people championed him so much when the series was huge. He was evil.

Yeah, I remember being happy that he bounced back from it all, I'm glad he was able to recover from Exotic's abuse.

Yep, to make way for cubs, that's where the money is letting people pet them, you can't let people pet adult tigers and they cost a lot to feed, scumbag

I hope not. Besides the fact he tried to have Carole killed and clearly preyed upon young men his treatment of animals was absolutely disgraceful if you look into his reputation.

I don't understand anyone who celebrates him actually.

He did...and you are right. Imagine the outrage though...
