It is and the uptake has been very high, not sure if you saw the clip from South Sudan on Sky last week, empty vaccination centres and vaccines that will expire in July as the take up is so low, they interviewed a wide age range and all were against taking it :bored:

it's all about trust. They clearly are worried for whatever reason ... maybe they don't trust the government etc

It's all very well having a world vaccination program, but no vaccine should be going to waste

felt sorry for the doctors interviewed, you could see how worried they were about the low uptake, if the vaccine is not used they wont get another batch either

i get my second jab on wednesday

joeysteele 24-05-2021 08:25 AM

No, in my home only My Mum has had both vaccines.
( She has been quite ill after her second vaccine actually)
Thankfully improving now.

My Cousin who is older than me has had the first.

I've had none yet.
Hence my carrying on as I have been the last year or so to be safe.

Ammi 24-05-2021 08:27 AM

…well done TS and bots……I’m so sorry to hear that your mum has been feeling so low after hers, Joey…but glad that she’s on the up now…..she’s in very safe and caring hands with you……

people seem to have widely varying side effects, some have no side effects at all from the 2nd jab, others have a tough time of it. The good news is that its short term

Nicky91 24-05-2021 08:31 AM

No

don't need it, and i won't let my parents force me into getting the vaccine either

Have your parents changed their minds a.d decided to take the vaccine Nicky? I know you mentioned a while ago your mum wasn't keen on getting it

bots 24-05-2021 08:35 AM

As i understand it, in the netherlands the message is protect others by getting the vaccine, nothing about protecting yourself, which is a bit ... dutch
