What Marsh is saying is true. If you are only apologising for your own benefit, you aren't really sorry.

People really need to learn the concept of context when they try to flip words back at someone, otherwise it just doesn't work.

But if your mind is already made up that they're only apologising to you for their own benifit, then what I said makes sense. What's the point of apologising to somebody who is not going to accept it?

If you don't apologise, you're bad, if you do apologise, you're only doing it to save your own skin, which means, youre bad. It's a lose, lose situation.
