I've completely sorted out my finances. I've decided that the act of physically going to work is the reason why I've always hated eery job I've ever had. Working from home is great I get far more done and dont have that hour and a half that I lose travelling to the place.

...you got a spare £10, Girth...?...I’ll send my bank details...

Not much good sadly as far as I'm concerned.
However 2 things certainly have given me reason to take away from this pandemic, which are really special. The first is, to have had my Mum with me all year and the quality time we have together. While at Uni, I rarely saw my parents. Then my work after uni, had me really busy and again hardly seeing them. Then the pandemic had me get my Mum over from Co Mayo in Republic of Ireland to my home to ensure her safety in this pandemic. So the time we've had so far, is amazing and very special. However too, it's had me look at my work rate too. I've found there's so much now I can do from home, so to reduce my own actual physical presence elsewhere. So that's another major plus although that may not be possible in the future. Unless I decide to be far more selective as to what I take on. Which the pandemic again has shown I probably could do. So those 2 things definitely are what I could term as good to have come from this period of the pandemic. |

Dating & friendships
Saving money Spending more time with parents |
Saving money ,being with close family and meeting a couple of lovely people I can now call really good friends, and the quietness of the roads etc (well most of the time)
|
My daughter and her partner coming back up north to live.
First time since she went to Uni that we have had her living on our doorstep, she is down as my second carer so we see her quite a bit. Can’t wait for life to get back to some normality so that we can have normal visits etc.:cheer2: Am I the only one that is getting skinter in this pandemic then? |

I have got worse with money D: Have had a lot more, but also spent stupid amounts on stupid stuff just out of boredom. Seemingly everyone else now has savings. I have a lower bank balance, and a pile of crap in amazon boxes next to the door instead..
Oddly, the best thing to come out of this for me has been am way closer to my family now than I have ever been. We also finally finished the decorating after years. But have then...started redecorating, out of boredom, and are halfway through now :bored: |
I’ve kept off the 11 stone I lost in the year before because there’s been so much time to exercise and also cook properly.
Also, I’ve “become a painter” after trying oil paintings - even sold a few and had a commission from a friend of a friend. Never expected that. |
11 stone..wow, congrats! :o
On weight..I have also, much to the horror of near everyone I know who are all whinging that they need bigger clothes when allowed back into civilisation, have lost like..3 stone  No idea how though. |
For me I spent more time with my parents/grandparents in the last 6 months than I have the last 8 years, me and my nana managed to do 8 seasons of RHOBH :hee:
I’m in a decent job bc of covid and I work with a load of great people, honestly going to be a bit disappointed when it all ends :eyes: Oh AND I’ve gotten really close with a guy I’ve been seeing and I think lockdown has helped bc we haven’t had anything else to do |
Smithy ignoring the dont shag anyone you dont live with rule of lockdown I see :idc:
