Ammi 13-04-2021 06:51 AM

...oh well done Daniel X, Denver and Niamh.....and generally well done everyone for some great scores.....

Strictly Jake 13-04-2021 06:52 AM

Definitely will have to use Google for this. Haven't a clue!

Shaun 13-04-2021 07:03 AM

yeah this is probably the most difficult round, sorry... I just didn't want to reuse the same old questions about Tudor kings and Roman emperors

The French empire one is quite difficult since there are a LOT of present-day countries that were, at some point, governed by France and none of them seem "obvious" (at least to me, anyway). The Ottoman one should be an easier "obvious" answer once you google where it was, though, I think.

The only question I felt iffy including was #4 because it was something that seemed obvious to me when I was writing it, but without knowing the name I was thinking of, I'd imagine is quite daunting

Alf 13-04-2021 07:21 AM

Cost myself 5pts by swapping Flanders with Mr Burns.

I should have had faith in Ned!

Alf 13-04-2021 07:25 AM

I like the look of this next round. Great questions, Shaun.

Got your aspirin and smelling salts ready, Ammi?

MTVN 13-04-2021 07:50 AM

In hindsight Ken Barlow was clearly the obvious answer, what possessed me to put Norris :umm2:

Denver 13-04-2021 08:01 AM

Pretty certain that ie my best ever round

Cherie 13-04-2021 08:14 AM

Lost loads in the Stranger Things question, had no idea

Oh poo I had a feeling I'd forgotten something last night!

Niamh. 13-04-2021 09:50 AM

I looked at a favourite poll on the forum for that one.

I was viewing the forum on tapatalk when i was doing mine so couldn't see polls, damn it!

That freeviev channel question, I didn't pick any of the ITV 2, 3, 4 or E4, or BBC 4, because I thought they were part of the ones you couldn't have. Obviously you meant just the first five channels and not all BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, channels.

Sent, enjoyed that round

Less than a day left to submit answers for this round - I've so far got them from Alf, Black Dagger, Cherie, MTVN, Strictly Jake, James, Nick, Niamh, hijaxers and Calderyon.

Therefore I'm missing them from Daniel-X, Denver, Mitchell, Jessica, LukeB, Kazanne, Kate and Ashley (plus anyone else who wants to join in late... you probably won't win but it's still fun to take part! :hmph:)

Niamh. 15-04-2021 08:59 AM

That round was really hard, I think I'll majorally flop

Shaun 15-04-2021 09:12 AM

Right now there are three questions where everyone has given the same answer... I won't be saying which :hee:

One question already has seven different answers :worry:

I'd guess that questions 3 and 13 are two of the three.

I'll do mine shortly

There are several questions where this scenario is possible so this is actually tricky.

I can see at least 11 possible answers.
