Of Course the Proper Upgrade is Free
it should have done a few years ago. Atmos sound is Great But does anyone on TIBB have all the Speakers over 10 Fitted in the Ceiling? The Costings in Thousands of Pounds. https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/yq...70-80.png.webp Atmos Sound in Better cinemas The IMAX that has Great 3-D still does not have Atmos Speakers - - due to the Costings. They have their own 12 channel speakers. https://www.whathifi.com/advice/dolb...can-you-get-it Atmos or DTS:X https://www.whathifi.com/advice/dts-...the-difference |
the atmos tech is built in to the current range of home sound systems, i don't have one yet, but its going to be inevitable in the next year or 2

"the new sound bars have a massive array"
Yes I watched that. Yes Like When I got 5.1 many got crap sound bars not giving Proper 5.1. Of Course a Sound Bar is better than TV speakers. But No way is that Proper Atmos. I guess its ideal for you |
So no Real Atmos Speakers set up for you.
Thats a shame. |
If I ever Get Atmos
it will be with 15 speakers set up. And a Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound new Amp. |

Yes this seems the most likely scenario, or it may default to compressed files on mobile devices etc. as those would fill up quickly. We’re a Spotify bunch here not smelly Apple Music but I do download playlists to my phone, because we’re fans of a day/weekend trip to more rural Scotland where mobile data coverage can be “patchy” to put it mildly. Tbh I’m not all that fussed about it being Atmos or even 7.1 for music since, other than in the car, I listen pretty much exclusively on headphones (good ones, obviously, but you can’t get “true” Atmos on a headset). Fully lossless would be nice though, I can actually tell the difference with compression. My wife can’t though, right down to basic MP3 quality, so I think it all really depends on the person. |
