Ari, you could have started a new thread for this year's Conference instead of bumping a two year old thread.

I am genuinely surprised that overall the Lib Dems aren't doing better.

Then again Davey may just be even worse, if it was possible to be, than both Starmer and Sunak.
He is an improvement on the crazily deluded terrible leader they had in Jo Swinson.

It just seems voters and people are just ignoring the Lib Dems.
Or just won't trust them again.

bots 19-03-2023 12:58 PM

the lib dems are no longer a credible political party, and everyone knows it

I assume it could change in the Next General Election
which is due before Jan 2025.

Yes, I'd expect them to do a fair bit of damage to the Cons.
Because too I think there'll be a good bit of tactical voting too.

bots 18-05-2024 12:34 PM

there are other options than the lib dems these days, i expect them to bomb pretty spectacularly at the next election. I don't think the lib dems are set up to deal with politics and messaging in the modern age at all.

Too positive

joeysteele 17-09-2024 02:09 PM

Fixing the NHS and he says the Cons broke it.

Selectively avoiding the fact that HE as a minister in the coalition and his MPs supported the Cons top down most costliest re-organisaion of the NHS from 2011.
That wasn't in either Con or LibDem manifestos.

A re- organisation that is still causing problems in the NHS.
He cannot wash his hands of how his hands and mouth voted in that disastrous reforming of the NHS.
Plus he CANNOT justifiably just blame the Cons and NOT his party in that coalition too.
Because the Cons could do nothing from 2010 to 2015 Without him as a minister and his Party's votes supporting them.

arista 17-09-2024 02:33 PM

He should stop smirking

arista 17-09-2024 02:34 PM
