Either way it’s tragic for Ava’s family.

Yeah I definitely exaggerated how common this issue is a little bit.

I agree with you that it's tragic for Ava's family.

Wasn’t he a few weeks under 16 ??

They should have suspended the sentencing until his 16th birthday

Let that useless boy cry all he likes. Whatever tears he has (fake or not) pale in comparison to those of Ava’s family and close friends. I feel so sorry for them.

Poor girl, wrong place, wrong time, sticking up for herself being filmed without her permission, if he wasn't carrying a knife in the first place she probably wouldn't be dead

yes

a minor, you aren't allowed to go out at that time

and i'm not singling her out, but all children should not be allowed to go out at that time

its a dangerous world, not just murderers but also sexual predators out there and ur an easy prey as a child ESPECIALLY when its dark

Nicky91 12-07-2022 08:51 AM

as for the suspect, he probably learned it from his dad or something

i'd background check into his father more deeply if i were with the cops

If only she never went up to him
He had her filmed on his snap chat

She told him to remove it

He then pulls out a knife, stabs her in the neck

Evil Killer kid

So how is a twelve year stint a fair and just punishment for taking the life of an innocent young girl so callously

It is not her fault, she was perfectly within her rights to ask him to stop filming her, he is at fault for (a) filming without permission (b) carrying a knife (c) using it (d) running away

arista 12-07-2022 12:51 PM

Yes I agree

I just say if she left the Thug alone
she could have stayed alive

She had no idea, he had that deadly knife, of course.

What a wonderfully-appropriate response.

I know you have your social communication difficulties but sometimes you just come across as incredibly insensitive and inappropriate with your remarks.

Isn't that the definition of autism

give the guy a break

Redway 13-07-2022 11:30 AM

“ a minor, you aren't allowed to go out at that time”

It’s not like she was 8 (she was in high school). But more importantly an innocent girl died tragically so when it comes to appropriate response the fact that she was in town past a certain time is irrelevant. I don’t know why you keep using this story to emphasise how important it is that 12/14-year-olds don’t go out in the dark at all.

Well for what it’s worth I am also on the spectrum and Nicky grinds my gears more often than not ...

I have him on IGNORE currently as it just makes life easier for me when I’m perusing the threads

He just gets on my nerves with his insensitivity that pops up at the randomest times. Asperger’s (or wherever he is on the “spectrum”) or not he needs to learn to not say inappropriate things whenever he feels like it. Most “Aspies” (not because I’m really big/non-skeptical about the concept of ASD) I know wouldn’t dream of saying the things Nicky’s said in this thread or half the stuff he says in general. They don’t use it as an excuse to be racist, either.
