Yes I like it, its taken in the Middle East the birth place of Jesus, yes it doesn't buy into the smaltzy commercial version of Christmas, but so what

Jerusalem is in Israel, not Jordan

Nicky91 11-12-2021 01:58 PM

i also know the story of jesus, since we usually do that story with a sand artist special show by our catholic channel EO on NPO's national channel

+ we did the entire journey of jesus too in one tv show, sadly no longer airs :( de pelgrimscode, with celebs taking part and solving various puzzles in this sacred quest

which was good fun

I've never liked things like this.
To me it comes across pretentious on the part of the senders.

IF someone wants a photo of someone give them one.
Not splash the whole family's picture on every card you send to others.

I just find it a bit sick really, no matter how low or how high the person or family may be.

Yeah I’ve never understood the idea of it either tbh, it’s incredibly vain

‘Merry Christmas, he’s a picture of us, you’re welcome!’

Really Glenn ,bookmark it with pleasure,I dont care whether they do or dont ,this is not about anyone else just the family portrait of William and Kate. You do seem overly obsessed .

Also at a time many are having to once again cancel their family holidays. Tactless Cambridges.

This is the fillup the country needs right now what with fearmongering and wokeness ruinng Christmas

Thankfully we have wholesome Family to admire

I think people would prefer to look at their own wholesome families

I would for sure.
None of my family would send cards with photos of themselves on.

It is a lovely family picture no doubt.
However enclose the pic with a sent card not have the image splashed on the front of the card.

Plus I consider my family and my friends wholesome and very important and decent.
Thankfully none would stoop to the level of shoving their pic to others on greetings cards.

I say again, whether it's Royalty, Politicians or any celebrities, I've always thought unnecessary any need to send cards this way.

First person to get personal as always.

If my neighbour sent me a Christmas card with a picture of them on the front, I’d think they were twats and I’m sure that I’m not alone in that thought

Crimson Dynamo 11-12-2021 07:24 PM

I think if a family picture triggers you then

wow

It’s the royal family and they do things differently and it’s been done for years

And it’s not like any one on here will be getting a card apart from jet:laugh:

The monarch has done it....not the heir to the heir.

I prefer the photos Kate takes herself of the children....far more natural. I'm personally not a fan of staged pictures but they do all look gorgeous

A family who were friends with my parents actually used to do this when I was a kid - along with a letter about their kids achievements for the year. It was awful and hilarious. Also one time when we went to their place for dinner, the dad went on the piano and started playing songs from musicals, with his daughter singing along. Honestly just bizarre behaviour.

That's so cringey [emoji879]

Don't you all understand that the reason all your "mates" did this was to copy the royal family who invented it

Omg I just can't

That’s wrong, in the past Charles has done it with William and Harry
