because it wasnt generating revenue. Musks twitter will bear no relation to how it is now. My guess is it will become like the wild west

he is an advocate of free speech, which obviously isnt a bad thing, but it's easy to say what could be better when you are not actually in the hot seat :laugh:

If it becomes more toxic, which is quite likely, it will drive people away in their millions. It could easily end up being the end of twitter in the same way as facebook has had its day

Probably that all his right wing, bigoted, conspiracy theory friends, that were banned for good reason, will come back and they’ll all be allowed to run rampant

There are other social networks that are more successful in terms of user numbers and revenue, but Twitter is more influential.

Milo Yiannopolous was one of the first to be permanently banned, for critiquing an actors performance in the Ghostbusters film. They never let him back on.

The real reason they wanted him gone was because his voice was influential in getting Trump elected in 2016, so they had to stop him and people like him simply to try and stop Trump winning again.
