She's Gav's favourite, will you be watching her this weekend? I'm looking forward to seeing Tony Ferguson's fight, he's on my list too actually even though I think he's probably passed his peak now

Yeah i'll be going down a mates to watch it. Yeah im looking forward to the Rosa/Carla fight, the Ferguson fight should be interesting, as you say he's past his peak.

Looking forward to Cowboy/Lauzon too. Never minded Cowboy, and i've liked Joe since his Ultimate Fighter days.

Pretty interesting card, Rua seems to have been around forever, i think Saint Preux will win that fight.

I like Cowboy as well but I really think he should be thinking about retiring soon

I agree, i feel they've given him this fight (in terms of quality, Cowboy does trump Lauzon) to maybe try and get Cowboy's career, what's left of it anyway, back on track. Is he loses this one, he should seriously consider retirement for sure. Joe Lauzon has always been talented, but he never quite made it. In theory this should be a straight forward win, but his peak has long gone by now. It should be an interesting fight regardless. That loss to Conor really hurt him i think.

On a side note, i used to like Conor, but not now, i just think he's a bit of a dick :joker:

Plus he battered Connor McGregor so that’s a massive plus

Well he's 39 now as well, I hope he does win and calls it a day after

Yeah same,I used to love Conor too, it was great to have an Irish person so mega famous and successful in the mix but yeah I went off him pretty quick with his out of the ring BS in the last couple of years

Have you watched any of Ian Garrys fights? He's one to watch from Ireland I think

Beso 05-05-2022 11:16 AM

It's funny, i wanted Conor to win the first fight between him and Diaz, and Diaz to win the 2nd fight. Got that arse over tit :joker:

YES....I'll be honest, i only see his last fight against Weeks, but the buzz is certainly growing for him. As you say, he's certainly one to watch.

This pic has been doing the rounds, how time flies and all that!

Oh wow, he's like a baby in that picture with Conor :o

I was still going for Conor for the 2nd fight against Nate (even though I do really like Nate as well) :p For me I think he started losing the humour in his trash talking and just came across like an asshole in the build up to the Khabib fight

TFT: Finland, i guess
TRT: None, not a fan of rugby
TTP: One of the Finnish ones, highest ranked
TSS: Steve Davis & Ken Doherty (reminds me of someone)
TF: One of the Finnish ones, highest ranked
TB M/F: None, maybe the most succesfull Finnish one there is

Nicky91 05-05-2022 01:45 PM

Football: Fortuna Sittard (although i wish they had a better transfer policy :notimpressed:)
Rugby: none, my dad is a fan of rugby though, he follows australian league, Panrith Panthers are his fave team
Tennis: only follow WTA, and my fave was Halep at first, but now shifted into liking Jessica Pegula a bit more, i really like her on court and off court mentality too
Snooker: Neil Robertson (duh aussie so ofc we stan him in this family) Luca Brecel (belgium are our neighbours so)
Golf: don't follow that, although some women's golf players are quite decent, Isabelle Lendl for example whom i've heard of because of her tennis icon father Ivan
Boxer: none for both male/female

Charles Olivera has missed weight, he's got 2 mins left!

He's been stripped of the title, jeez!

No I haven't

I'm not going to watch it live because I have friends over Saturday night (who aren't into MMA) so I'll watch it on Sunday after they go home, will have to avoid spoilers till then

I think Ian is the fancied fighter to win from what i've read, it'll be interesting though. Like you say it's a pretty solid card. I usually do a treble (bet) just pick 3 fighters to win, i'll post in here tomorrow who i do.

Yeah stay away from and twitter etc. Or youtube, the amount of spoilers i've seen just on recommended videos in the past :bawling:

I'll be sure not to post in here during or after.

I'll give my feedback for sure, i actually find it really strange watching UFC live in the summer, by the time the main card starts its almost light out.

It's a bit of pain having it on so late/early alright

Swan 01-07-2022 10:18 AM

Niamh. These are the 3 fighters i'm going for in my treble bet -

Ian Garry
Jim Miller
Robbie Lawler

Will put £20 on it. Pays £83.

Robbie let you down :(

What did you think of the card? I thought Izzys fight was really boring actually. Ian Garry's was great though. Would love to see Izzy fight Alex Pereira next, he's beaten Izzy twice in Kick Boxing so would love to see a match up between them in MMA
