I dunno, I wouldn't be that bothered about it, not sure the Beatles still carry that same power

Think if I was there I'd be put off all the headliners by the sheer scale of the crowds anyway tbh

Crimson Dynamo 24-06-2022 09:29 PM

This is genuinely terrible. F me it's awful

Country music mainly :ninja2:

But also a lot of folk/rock/indie. If I was there I'd probs see Sam Fender, Waterboys, Kacey Musgraves and Noel Gallagher of the big names

Is this you having a go back at me because I called out Josh Taylor :)

I did say it wasn’t one of her melodic tracks...

Some of you are showing your age three days ..

There’s no crime in putting your slippers on and listening to the Carpenters ... I guess

So how did it go for Miss Eilish?

I've tried looking for comments on her performance on twitter but all there is is chat about her being the youngest headliner and that she condemned the Wade vs Roe decision. Nothing much about her actual performance. Did she nail it? Did she put on a great spectacle? Is she a new Madonna? Or is she just a new Avril Levigne?

Alf 25-06-2022 02:47 PM

From this clip I found on YT It doesn't look that spectacular at this part. Obviously it's hard to tell from this point of view.

She is on point woke - trendy girl punk. There was a lot of "track" as she only has 2 musicians and one is a drummer.

Noisy, highly tuned no melody, just a lot of shouting

But the young kids loved it in the audience or so it seemed.

The Beatles will always carry power. They're the biggest selling artists of all time and have had the most number 1 hits of all time and they were only performing for less than 10 years. Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Eminem and anyone else you could mention would Only be supporting acts to The Beatles. They're number 1 in music. The ultimate headline act. There is nobody to top them.

Popular music started going downhill when music videos came in. Now they prefer people who look good over talent. The biggest stars today are Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber and that says it all. They're adults singing like they're high School pupils. They have no talent, character or heart and soul, they just look pretty and pick up millions of pounds for that.

You can still get some talent but they don't do as well as the pretty people in most instances.

Crimson Dynamo 25-06-2022 03:16 PM

Even in the 80s groups had trombones, trumpets and saxophones

Crimson Dynamo 25-06-2022 08:06 PM

Finally a decent group

Alf 25-06-2022 08:53 PM

Can't believe the BBC arne't putting McCartney on live.

I wanna see an 80 year old rocking Glastonbury on a Saturday night.

What's the hour delay for? Are they gonna auto-tune him or is it incase he drops dead?

It'll be time for bed for most of his fans by the time he's on.

Alf 25-06-2022 09:05 PM

It's not right. You pay your licence fee and the national broadcaster don't even put the headline act on live. They're laughing at us.

Yeah it is strange, dunno if it's because they think they can get better camera footage that way or what

Noel was okay, good to see some Oasis songs but never really felt like he was that into it
