Good stuff from Musk this, I sense that talk of the death of twitter has been greatly exaggerated

Imo he should decide.

I mean let's face it he desperately wants to let Trump back on the site regardless.

Advertisers are just going to love having their products shown beside Trumps outbursts if he allows Trump's return ....... He needs money from advertisers and unbanning Trump isn't going to achieve that

I don't get why more of the Twits aren't taking the layoff with all that severance pay - not only would they be getting paid for having the Festive period off, but they'd be away from one of the Internet's most toxic website.

If they weren't just seatwarmers who facilitated the "bloatware" it wouldn't be hard for them to find another tech job.

Twitter is, when it comes down to it, a website; so long as it has server farms up it will stay up. ... ... it doesn't need more than a few devs to stay running. It isn't going to break over night without software developers. He may well bankrupt the company and end up having to sell at a massive loss but even then it wouldn't necessarily stop functioning. The online reason Twitter will go offline is if Musk decides to TAKE it offline.

Think about TiBB for a much much smaller scale example; if James abandonned it tomorrow but someone continued paying the server fees, it would still be here working exactly as it does now in 5 years time. Not exactly the same with twitter but the same principle. You need devs to update and innovate, you don't need them to keep the lights on.

apparently twitter servers are in house and not sub contracted out so a lack of staff could affect that. As I understand it, the app has become much more buggy in recent days, which could simply be a result of musk doing his own coding

Not James and Elon Musk essentially being the same person
