the glazers want to maximize their cash, but just because a buyer has a few quid in the bank doesn't mean that they will pay over the market value for something, thats not good business

But they are in danger of losing out ?? The latest Saudi offer includes paying off the club debt and investing in the team and facilities.. none of which the Glaziers care a jot about Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Manchester United officially remain up for sale, but reports from Qatar on Monday claimed that Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani had indeed beaten Sir Jim Ratcliffe and got the go-ahead from the Glazers
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has been congratulated on his alleged takeover of Manchester United - despite no offical announcement being made. The Premier League giants are yet to confirm who their new principal owner will be, with current chiefs the Glazer family set to decide on a preferred bidder this week. Sheikh Jassim, an uber-wealthy Qatari banker, has been competing with INEOS chief executive Sir Jim Ratcliffe for the best part of eight months in the battle to buy United. ---------------------------------------- This is why i think Mbappe will be heading to united |

It was a long month ......
British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe has agreed to buy a 25% stake worth about £1.25bn in Manchester United. As part of the deal, Ratcliffe's Ineos Group will take control of the club's football operations. Ratcliffe, 71, will also provide $300m (£236m) for future investment into Old Trafford. The announcement comes 13 months after the club's owners, the Glazer family, stated they were considering selling to "explore strategic alternatives". |
Man U will be sold before the end of the month
I was always of the understanding that anything LESS than 50% of something was basically the same as nothing as regards power … but it sounds like he’s had some special clauses built into the deal

It won't change anything. They will have a clear out of staff on the football side, but it won't improve anything and now the Glazers can keep taking the cash and blame Ratcliffe for the poor football results. It's a win/win for them

Agree it wont change until there is huge clearout of players.
I have to laugh cuz I think Man Utd have got them selves into a perpetual cycle they cant get out of. Mourinho, Rangnick, Olly and CR7 have all stated, in one way or another, that the problem is with the players. They are not as good as they think they are. |I just dont think anyone will be trusted to clear out the squad. As an example, Arteta got rid of fan favourites like Ozil and Aubameyang,. I can remember that I was spitting fire when he got rid of Aubamyang saying Arteta hasnt got a clue. How can you get rid of your top scorer etc? No Man Utd manager will be able to justify getting rid of star players for the sake of 'the project'. Man Utd fans and the endless cycle of ex Man U players who work in the media will never allow to get going before they're calling for the manager to fired. Arteta finished 8th, 8th, 5th then 2nd. IF he was Man U manager he'd have probably been fired after the 2nd 8th place finish. Ten Hag will go soon and the cycle will start again., Its great to watch. |
