Are you saying Islamic religious extremists are walking the streets of the UK?

If so, why the Hell are we prioritising Andrew Tate and his brother as being our biggest, most dangerous threat? I see them as a couple of pussycats.

It sounds like we need to be looking elsewhere to speak out if what you say is true.

Alf 28-02-2023 09:40 PM

I thought the books of Roald Dahl were one of our major threats, but what Oliver said has made me think again.

Alf 28-02-2023 09:46 PM

I am only being sarcastic with you Oliver, I have nothing against you, infact I have respect for you. I know you can take a joke.

he mother of one of four boys suspended after 'accidentally' dropping a copy of the Quran says he has been left 'absolutely petrified' after receiving death threats.

West Yorkshire Police recorded a 'hate incident' at Kettlethorpe High School after pupils caused 'slight damage' to a copy of the Quran when it fell on the floor.

The Year 10 boy, who is 14 and autistic, was told by friends to bring in a copy of the holy book as a forfeit for losing at the video game Call Of Duty.

It was then reportedly dropped, causing some damage and scuffing to the pages. All four pupils involved in the incident at the West Yorkshire school were suspended and the police informed.

Officers investigating the incident found there had been only 'minor damage' to the Quran during the prank and that no crime had been committed. It was recorded as a 'non-crime hate incident', a designation the police use to record incidents that don’t meet the criminal threshold.

after receiving death threats.

Muslim-based death threats so the Police will not be interested in the slightest

Cherie 03-03-2023 09:13 AM

There were many callers of Muslim faith including an Iman to LBC who said the response to this by the school was completely disproportionate, I don't know if it is white saviours or radical extremists who set this in motion but here we are

Crimson Dynamo 03-03-2023 02:07 PM

Update:

A press conference was arranged at the local mosque

School, Senior POlice officer and a bussed in "Iman"

The Iman says "to her credit" :umm2: the mum of the traumatized autistic school boy does not want to take any further the death threats he received from the muslim community - but did not condemn them (he did bizarrely say he was worried about a rise in homosexuality). He did say that "they" will not let this go.

The Police Cheif started banging on about how all faiths must live together and but said NOTHING about the death threats

This against the background of the Manchester Arena bombings inquiry that concluded that we are not good at spottin g extremists in out midst

You could not make this sh1t up

No you literally couldn’t

How has this been recorded as a hate incident when it was agreed it was not malicious and was done for a dare

Its the fear that the aggressive "Muslim community" have generated in the local area

the Headteacher panicked and the POlice appeased

Worth pointing out that the religious zealots in this case are 100% displaying right-wing tactics and outrage here and calling it "woke" is daft. These are fascist ideologies that have far more in common with the worrying rise in other religious branches of politics that seem to be celebrated by many of the same people; i.e. your Kate Forbeses, or Republican evangelists in the US. When you applaud or turn a blind eye to that ideology when it happens to fit your own purposes, you're on shaky ground complaining about it when it's "the wrong god".

Not that I'm saying you chaps are religious, but many seem happy enough to crow alongside the Christian hard-liners then clutch at pearls when it's Muslims.

And to clarify I suppose; no I'm not on the side of the people screeching about a book. I just don't like hypocrisy. If you can see the illogic and danger in these people, where is your concern about the Christian Right?

Can you point out where I have ever crowed along with the Christian right, I’m not even a practising Catholic :skull:

The only thing I have said recently is that Kate Forbes should not be beaten by the same stick Yousef Hamza clearly holds but pretends not to

The bit in bold is clearly a threat.

The boy's mother absolutely should take those feral scumbags death threats seriously, in fact take them to court. Why should they be let off?
