Out of all episodes in 9 series of Peep Show, this is my favourite scene.

I’ve got to say, Mock, rabbit’s actually a very nice-tasting meat. On the face of it it might sound disgusting but it’s really not.

Given the opportunity, they'd eat you, and we feel fear.

You sound like the type of person to eat bat

They eat to survive and do not know they cause pain we on the other hand, are supposed to be intelligent beings and know slaughtering them is not right but we still do it because we like the taste and have been brought up to eat them, some people now, know what goes on behind closed doors and choose not to have anything to do with it,don't come for me because that is my choice just as its yours to eat dead animals

I’m afraid it’s a dog-eat-dog world. I do get where the sentiments come from but meat-eating is just part of a vicious cycle that has to be allowed.

I don't deny what you're saying, but for me I'm too culturally embedded in liking Rabbits more as pets than food.

Illogical I know, but it's just how I feel.

I'm not coming for you, I'm just stating a fact.

And we eat to survive too. There's no prizes for being the most virtuous and going without meat because of guilt. We all get one life and have to make the best of it while it lasts.

I’ll raise a chicken wing to that.

I went vegetarian.
Like Kazanne I find the whole meat processing something I couldnt now agree with.

I agree with Mock too.
I even when have had meat in the past, couldn't have eaten rabbit.

Personally, I've never missed eating meat.
I think I'd end up both disgusted and sick if I could see into a slaughterhouse.

That's just me and obviously each to their own.
I have no gripe with anyone who does eat meat.
I ended up myself however thinking more about it years ago and made my own choice completely stop eating animals.

Credit to you and Kazanne for doing it tbh.

I'm not a Vegetarian or Vegan (although I do like some of the Foods from this category) but I honestly have no issue with either community.

As I see it why should I care what other people eat? As long as it's not people that they're eating that is.

We don't need to eat dead animals to survive, and yes we all get one life so what right do we have to take the life of another sentient being who also has one life, ? And that's not virtuous, it caring for another, if that triggers people that's their problem not mine, but ask yourself why people get triggered by some choosing not to eat an animal.

I get that Mock as I said each to their own, It's not about caring what people eat it's, about caring for a living sentient being, I wouldn't eat my dog so why would I eat other animals.

I used to eat animals Joey as that's what I was conditioned to do, but after seeing documentaries of how these animals are treated is truly shocking, and the slaughter just vile and how could I call myself an animal lover if I then go and pay for them to be killed and eaten, the only thing I regret is ever eating one..

The animals we eat are pretty much all bred specifically for that purpose for us to eat, that is their purpose for ever existing, if we didn't eat them then there would be no need to breed them, which means they would never exist

So what you really want is for the animals we eat to never exist at all. So what does it matter anyway? At least by the system we have, us humans can grow strong and live fitter and healthier lives. And likely without this system, it would be far more barbaric than what we have and we humans would become daily hunters, like other animals, because that's what our animal instincts would make us do.

That’s crap, a silver back gorilla has the strength of ten men and only eats vegetation

In the future I believe humans will take a single pill that will be the equivalent of a well balanced meal containing all the goodness we need

A silver back spends everyday in the gym, swinging on trees and what not. I'd still bet against them if they entered the World's strongest man competition.

Very True Alf
we have been doing that way,
for hundreds of years.

Is your argument "only eat animals that aren't cute" ?

For starters Foxes are wild animals plus they carry rabies don't they ? , they should be left alone. And no It's nothing to do with only eating "non cute animals". We eat pork and lamb ......and baby lamb & piglets are cute .
