Most things are ok reheated as long as they are piping hot (obviously woth some exceptions). I also think if you can buy a frozen version of something, ie rice in a ready meal, you're pretty safe to reheat it

I've often reheated Take Aways as well, I've never had food poisoning

You'll be ok , ideally they should have been refrigerated though.

But could have been worse ,and atleast they were not left out in the open ,as then that would make you ill.

Anyway, last night i forgot to put them in the fridge, and have stayed in the oven (obviously i turned it off after cooking last night) ever since.

Will they be ok to reheat now?

Yeah….my boys do it all the time.

It's like a takeaway Pizza with meat toppings, they have at least 2 days on them tbf.

Josy 10-05-2023 09:13 PM

Oh I would never :/

I'm so paranoid with food especially chicken, I literally check every bite

Beso 10-05-2023 09:18 PM

Ok back to this one......

Brought some nice refrigerated Sausages early in the week, looked at the date. Now are 3 days over use by date.

Would you eat?

No. Straight in the bin.

I would. I take no notice of sell by dates, they're just there to make sales. Unless there's mold on it, then I'm eating it.

Zizu 12-05-2023 10:05 PM

Well thinking about all the foul smelling / tasting / rotting things they had to eat in all those Celeb Jungle tasks … maybe we all worry far too much about our food ??!?

I threw a finest Tesco’s bolognaise out the other day that was three days out

I don’t make a habit of eating out of date food

Lots of people say it’s fine and probably is but there is always a chance and having had food poisoning in the past it does make you think twice.
