I can't speak for all men, but men wanting "young and pure" women is a totally wrong and draconian view.

Well most men when finding a partner in your 20s would not want a woman with a "Wagner-esque" body count

Oh god where did all these awful terms spring from all of a sudden? "Body Count" I thought that was reserved for serial killers

What about human connection and chemistry, the way these people talk about relationships is very transactional and not like they're looking for an actual partner in the literal sense of the word. I feel sorry for people looking for that type of relationship actually.

Im not saying men want a women who's been with 100 different men by her mid 20's. But the young and pure thing is about 60 years too old in this day and age. People often start their first relationship in their teens, more times than not they have sex, and even more common is both reach their late teens/early 20's and realise their feelings have changed since they were 15/16 say, and they want different things.

I don't see why it would be a deal breaker for a guy if a woman has had a couple one night stands and flings by her mid 20's. If i was back in my mid 20's i'd much rather a women who's had experience in sex and relationships, it's healthy. It shows you've experienced what you want in a partner, what you don't want, what you like, don't like. I think both men, and women have a much clearer view after experience in these areas and makes for a much healthier and lasting relationship in the future. Rather than saving themselves for the man or women of their dreams, which is completely unrealistic anyway.

Yeah exactly, i covered how i personally feel in my reply to LT. Yep, it wont have the love and personality to survive, and if it does both people will probably be unhappy deep down anyway.

Absolutely agree. In my experience, a man that doesn't want a woman just because she's slept with a few guys is probably not the kind of person you would want to have a relationship with anyway because he clearly doesn't view women as a proper human being like he is. That sounds a bit dramatic but I truly do believe that, especially when usually these guys think it's perfectly fine for men to have slept with as many women as they wanted. It means they don't view women as equal to them but more like a possession. That type of relationship is not for me

What you say makes perfect sense, imo anyway. And yeah, the view that it's cool for a man to sleep around, and that he's a "top g" if he does and celebrated by his peers, but that if a woman sleeps with different men she's a slut is absolutely ridiculous. Why can't a single women enjoy sex like a single bloke does without being branded "unworthy of marriage and a partner". It's such a weird stance to have.

It's a very selfish stance too. A guy that wants young and pure basically means he wants to show you what his idea of sex is, and what he expects from sex from you. Sod that, that's controlling ,and boring for the woman. Trust me young lads (if any are on here) experience in a woman is MUCH better. Not some lifeless shag whenever you feel like it because some think it's the "wifey's duty" to pleasure you whenever you feel like it. How soulless and boring!

Have you watched it? I specifically said it was for Arista though because it focuses a lot on her "women can't vote unless they work on oil rigs" argument
