It’s doing really well for the channel it’s on and it’s holding its own against massive competition in MAFS, GBBO AND CELEB RACE ACROSS THE WORLD. There is so much reality tv on at the moment. Mafs is seen as a huge success but BB has matched its numbers and outdone its numbers on occasion. Last night 950k watched BB live so it does seem it’s retained a core live audience and with itvx I’m sure these episodes will get around 1.5 million.

^ Dude always hits the nail on the head with Big Brother.

I think they've been pretty steady. Even went up a bit last night.
A lot of people watch online as well.

This season of MAFS has been pretty good so I know a lot of my friends are watching that live then catching up with BB.

..did you notice that one of the biggest storylines of this season of MAFS/maybe one of the biggest of any season….was airing while BB was being launched…?….hmmmmm, the cynic in me….

I know a few people who turned off after Kerry stayed over Farida. I think Kerry/Hallie have turned a few people off but also people catch up online most of the time. Even I do too when I’ve worked late.

…in general, we watch TV differently now, don’t we…?…I could never stay awake through the night to watch live feed, but I often did back in the day…I hoped that Farida would stay but what I loved, though…was seeing her on the late show and just still loving the whole experience of being there and living her best life……

…and hey Jemal, btw…lovely to see you…..it’s been such a nostalgia ride for the return…

I don't know about the live stream if it's online - but in terms of TV... this is not how TV ratings work. No one knows that you have it on :joker:.

Streaming is absolutely factored into TV ratings. This is exactly what’s a major sticking point with the Hollywood strikes. ITV will definitely be able to see how their shows fare.

The presence of two or three individiuals with a modicum of resourcefulness and wit notwithstanding, the majority of the house's residents are, sadly, uninspired and slow of wit. Conversations are largely as sterile as a scorched earth landscape, the tattoo-sporting males are reminiscent of downmarket caricartures of Ray Bradbury's "The illustrated man" and even the backstabbers and schemers are remarkably inept at the only skill in which they will ever have a hope of achieving mediocrity. It makes one think fondly ob BB1's "Nasty Nick" who, by the standards of this lackwitted fraternity of weasels and bootlickers was a master of the trade and could lay claim to a moderately healthy complement of functioning brain cells. He should be feted to this day, rather than being denounced by the BB fundamentalists.
Most of this year's housemastes are uninspired and unentertaining, but if past BBs offer a meaningful guideline, one of them will, probably, gain the house crown or lay claim to reputational immortality. After all, housemates remembred to this day are the ghastly Nadia Almada, Nicky Graham and Jade Goody. Dysfunctional beings, one and all.

Terrible blunder to bring it back. They need to cancel it after this series.

The sponsor advertisement between the commercial breaks is always the gay couple.

Maybe the majority of people don't feel represented when the very, very large majority of people are not homosexual.

Maybe that has a bearing on ratings? People not sering themselves represented?

I don’t think anyone cares about adverts.
