If you think an 18 year old has the same maturity as an older adult, I would massively disagree

…I think that her age factored as well into an initial bonding with Kerry as a more maternal personality…only that didn’t turn out at all and any exaggerated emotional teenage type behaviour feeding there as well…it would have been interesting to see Hallie, had she attached to a more positive influence…

We've seen a 40 year old (or however old Kerry is ) throw a tantrum

Exactly, and that's my point.

The fact that she is one of those that doesn't is why many people do not enjoy her.

Personally, for me, it's the constructed fake 'diva' personality and snakey whispering between groups about individuals that I don't like.

Can't believe she is 40, tbh. I thought she was 10 years older.

DrunkerThanMoses 20-10-2023 12:36 PM

Uh I wanna give her the benefit of the doubt because she is young but she is coming across very princess always gets her way attitude, she needs growing up I believe.

thesheriff443 20-10-2023 12:39 PM

Ultimately if she continues on that road it will cost her, her place in the house

The question is was she ever going to win the show and my answer is no

caprimint 20-10-2023 12:39 PM

She's absolutely awful, she's sooooo incredibly and obviously fake

The newest moment being when she used the word "vindictive" and Olivia asked what it meant and she said she didn't know when she'd literally just used it in the right context. She clearly knew and wanted to fit in with Olivia and act "dumb". Actually embarrassing :skull:

Lostie! 20-10-2023 12:41 PM

She was one of my early favourites but she's turned out pretty damn unlikeable

…I know, I’ve been rooting for her from the beginning and really wanted her to do well…in life, obviously I hope that she does and have no negative feelings about her at all…but in terms of her in the house and my choosing favourites/and less so, I don’t mind grumpy and I don’t mind tantrums etc…and I don’t mind even rule breaking …but there has to be more…and the ‘more’ has to be able to be seen and not feel so overshadowed by, hmmmmm…just feeling that she’s not embracing this experience that so few 18yr olds ever have or ever will…

…also, with the series being much shorter than we’re familiar with…we don’t have the time to get to know housemates in more of their depth, either…so we hope for more of a balance than Hallie so far has given…

…mind you, with her multiple sclerosis…a disease such as that would/could be quite aging, I would think…

Halle’s disgusting behaviour ( shouting abuse at BB and the cameras ) is actually an accurate snapshot of what is happening in all our high schools across the country on any given school ( oddly it’s generally teenage girls ) .

Yes, i do have sympathy with her for that. A friend of mines mum had MS, it's an evil disease. I don't like Kerry at all, but her looking older and struggling to get around isn't her fault, and like i say, i sympathise.

Yes I know...I commented on that at the time. Kerry is very immature too...but we are talking about Hallie

I know what we are talking about....I was making a light hearted commented as you had said you had never seen an 18 year old have a 5 year old tantrum.....I made a quip that we have all witnessed othe tantrums in the house....sorry didn't realise I wasn't meant to deviate in any way lol???

I have seen plenty of 18 year olds act like brats and kick off like Hallie did, I've seen plenty of 40 year olds act like brats and kick off...........maturity helps but doesn't stop some people feeling they can act how they like to get what they need.

My initial point was yesterday in the jail task, Hallie allowed Olivia's behaviour to influence her own (i.e only kicking off when Olivia started shouting)

Liam- 20-10-2023 01:03 PM

I was rooting for her and operation get Hallie a fanny, but she’s definitely blown her chances with her behaviour

MS isn't a pleasant disease, but there's people who just try their best to get on with it, they get out there and they try to get as much exercise as they possibly can, to help their body . Otherwise it makes the disease worse , it's like a sort of therapy. I know it's not easy .

But Kerry isn't a nice person, and for someone with a disability... you'd think she'd be more sympathetic & actually have empathy, especially when she worked for the NHS. She clearly thinks she can do and say what she wants because of her situation, and possibly her age.

I've mentioned this before....but in IAC Kadeena Cox had MS ,and she never moaned or pulled screaming tantrums or bitchy sessions. You could see she got tired at times and struggled...but she just got on with things. Which is the best way  .

Kerry acting like she's mothering Hallie & Olivia....when in reality she acts just as immature and whiny as them.

Even with the VIP reward, you could see... she thought she was entitled to it. Like she's special.

…yeah a work colleague I had quite a long time ago had a sudden illness…it was something completely different but he was very ill for around a year or 18months, I can’t recall exactly…he was maybe mid thirties…?…but after his illness, when he had recovered…?….his aging had been quite dramatic…chronic pain will really attack the body and wear it down and that would be very visible…it was interesting to see Kerry both at her Adele audition and her Deal or No Deal and they weren’t that long ago when you think…and if I hadn’t known it was her, I would have struggled to have recognised her…and I’ve read that she won’t be going back to work so maybe her condition is deteriorating also, I don’t know…anyway I’m getting off topic so if you head for the door on the left, you’ll get back to the thread…

Is that being influenced though or not wanting to be out done by Olivia

I hope Kitten found happiness in Australia. Don't blame her for moving out of the UK.

MTVN 20-10-2023 01:42 PM

MS affects people very differently. Some people get progressively worse over time, some people have symptoms which come and go. Some people won't be seriously affected by it for many years but others will find simple tasks very difficult. There's such a range of symptoms as well, a lot of people find it difficult to control their bowels, some get really bad brain fog and memory issues, obviously the mobility is a big thing that affects most people sooner or later.. anyway point is you can't really compare one person with MS to another.

Tbh for all Kerry's faults she has barely mentioned her disability or looked to make excuses or garner sympathy
