I can't believe that I've left out my opinion on the Rotherham game for so many hours.:joker:

But seriously even I didn't expect us to not score even once against Rotherham.

At this point there is only two options for the club to take.

1. The obvious and that's sacking Rooney for being an absolutely terrible Manager for us.

2. If Rooney is going to be our Manager for the next game, send the players to Cheddar Road, show them a good time.:joker:

But honestly the board has to sack him, we immediately pick up once the club sacks him, he has somehow turned a top 10 squad in the League into a relegation scrap.

And look I hope that Rooney learns from this experience with the next team that he goes on to manage, but how is he going to learn anything if the board keeps backing him?

And I know that some Blues fans didn't like Eustace or Rowett's style of Football, but at least they could beat teams that weren't bottom of the table.

It's devastating to see Mock the massive fall from Rooney taking over.
A hopeful and promising start destroyed .

I was just in dismay following this match ..

Awful.

It's just shocking isn't it Joey?

I think that we've both seen some shitty years with this club, but nothing quite like this, I mean we have a half decent team on paper that can't beat a team on a much smaller budget than us, was away from home, and are sitting in the relegation places, and are Managerless.

I mean if you're a Rotherham fan then you've secured a fantastic point, and arguably should've won the game by all accounts, where as we're playing really pathetic, I've lost so much respect for the players and the board during all of this.

And the reason that I say this (and I am trying to be fair to Rooney here) is that he can't help it if he isn't quite good enough for the Championship just yet, but the ownership should be able to tell, yet they couldn't which makes me really concerned about their future Managerial appointments. And the players are now pretending that they defend at Conference level because they want Rooney sacked, and they don't care that they're putting fans through yet another shitty season.

Like you've said yourself Joey, it's devastating.

No offense to Rooney as I actually do like the guy when he speaks, but he isn't a good Manager at this moment in time.

He is the only Blues Manager (or any Championship Manager for that matter) where after about the first 15 minutes of the game last night, I honestly couldn't tell what the formation even was anymore.

Rooney needs to get advice off of experienced Managers (especially at Championship level) and be someone's number 2 at a club and then bring those experiences to his managerial career.

That would be my advice for him when he does get the sack from Blues.

... I share all your pain Mock.

My hope is the sack comes much sooner than later however.

Your advice is in my view extremely sound advice indeed.

for whatever reason, it's not working for Rooney at Birmingham. He should be sacked immediately

Amen to that from me :joker:

1 win in the last 8 games isn’t good. He’ll be out the door soon hopefully. I don’t really understand why Eustace got sacked tho cos Birmingham were in a decent position in the table when he went?

I always find with Birmingham that they always get off to a decent start to the season and then it just seems to all unfold by December and start falling down the table. I remember one of the Bowyer seasons being the same.

It stinks of the board being stubborn and not willing to admit that they have made a mistake at bringing Rooney into the club, before he was even ready for it.

I mean not only are they humiliating the club and the fans, but the board is humiliating Wayne Rooney by making him lose tonight's game too, and possibly the Leicester game if he gets to that match.

It's true tbf, it did happen around this point last season too where Eustace ironically also won 1 game in 8 in the December period, but tbh I just had more confidence in Eustace that he would turn the form around (which he did tbf) I just personally don't have that confidence in Rooney (or Lee Bowyer in his season) that were/are in Rooney's case going to turn it around.

Good luck against Barnsley on Saturday btw, I hope that you guys can pull off a win.

Birmingham have gone from play off contenders to real Relegation candidates in about 3 to 4 months

joeysteele 02-03-2024 04:25 PM

I am stunned at today's result.
Stunned
No other word for it .

Denver 02-03-2024 04:28 PM

The state of the club sucks as its a local club for me and have always been my 2nd team but I kinda feel they need to do what Wolves did and have the ultimate downfall to rise again

Tbf, 15 games with an horrendous Manager is not going to be resolved overnight.

Plus the Referee did get Southampton out of trouble yesterday, I mean they had to have 6+ minutes of added time against ten men, to snatch a win.

Obviously that doesn't excuse the team being bad throughout the season, because the ownership and the players have to take responsibility for that, with how the whole Rooney situation played out.

You might have a fair point.

Congratulations on getting more wins than Rooney.

But you really couldn't do worse than some of our Managers.

my team Fortuna Sittard does better than yours

we demolished Excelsior last weekend with 5-2 home win

3 goals Sierhuis (and one beauty of an assist at Lonwijk)

1 goal Lonwijk (worldgoal you can say, with his heel)

1 goal Guth

joeysteele 08-03-2024 09:40 AM

Every season I'm left in dismay.

A city like Birmingham should have a greater mark in football with its City club.

I hope we avoid relegation but honestly and I said this last season too, draws are not enough.
Plus way too many losses by just one goal too.

Birmingham have a game in hand in the Championship.
However if they don't win that.
This is going to be the hardest season for a while to avoid relegation.

Which is shocking when thinking about just how big this club should and could be .

I'm not shocked at Fortuna Sittard doing better tbh.

Kindergartners would do better than this current Blues squad, it's the worst Blues team that I have ever had the misfortune of seeing.

Do I dare hope for competence today?

We need to at least start showing some fight, our players are humiliating themselves every week nearly, they need to have some self-respect, surely.

I don't know Mock.
We can hope but a draw or defeat today will signal curtains I fear.

It's really awful to witness what's happened this season.

I agree 100% Joey.

We definitely need to win today, and it has been tragic to see such a promising season turn into such a disaster over a few months.
