I’m not white

So, Trish and Noky have never hinted at racism in the house, but you know better than the 2 black women in there? Ok then.

Welcome to Big Brother post 2020… heaven forbid you dislike someone who’s black.. can’t possibly be their personality must be racism

Beastie 05-11-2023 08:51 PM

Trish in the firing line again... Her voting last. Why didn't Yinrun just keep with putting herself up? Yinrun speech was bollocks because she nominated Jenkin in the end.

Spoiler:

Like, a female friend of mine's bf once disliked me scarily strongly, and it didn't occur to any of us (least of all me) it was homophobia. But when she asked him about it, it turned out "because he's gay", which sounds ridiculous coming from anyone under like 60 :joker:
(they didn't last long. not because of that specifically, but it didn't help)

He disliked you because of your sexuality?

Judgmental people like that can be fascinating to talk to, but ultimately they do piss me off when they dislike people for such petty reasons.

Old people are more likely to be racist

And you base this on?

By all means feel free to share any research you might have conducted.

I'm white and I know all.

But seriously I don't 100% know in this case, but the one saying that Trish was being "aggressive" is playing into a very negative stereotype of black women in society.

I mean maybe Trish was being aggressive, but even I know that a lot of racists do love to use that line whenever a black person gets upset about something.

So it leaves me suspicious.

Nah it's crap Mock, people speculating HM's are racist towards Trish and Noky in the house, yet neither of them have ever mentioned it. It's always the same, people looking for racism when it isn't there. And just a massive insult to the black women in the house with idiots in this thread think they need to defend and victimise strong, and independent women of colour.

That admittedly can be an issue in other forms of entertainment.

I mean the arrogance from Hollywood when they told the Egyptian Government that they're "racist" for not wanting an "historically accurate" version of Cleopatra being black (when she wasn't black) was absolutely astonishing in so many ways.

The arrogance and delusion was incredible from that Netflix team, I seriously hope that Trish and Noky fans are not that far gone.

So your research is based on about 6 women on a BB forum? As before the resurrection of BB, the forum had about 15 regular posters, with about half at best being women.

I thought so. That's really sound research right there.

I do agree with you that it's white liberals who are always presuming to speak on behalf of others and who are quick to jump to cries of 'racism!' where others are highly unlikely to see any. I don't blame you at all for immediately thinking every witchfinder here is white.

There is a reason many left the forum

Tbf you've watched way more of the series than I have, so I'll take your word for it.

It's just that particular comment does have me suspicious of I think his name is Tom?

That was a while ago, could be stereotyping, that's of course up for debate. But Trish herself didn't take issue. Only person who has brought race up in the house was Dylan, as somehow he felt Trish and Noky, and him should stick together. Like Trish said, it was pathetic and insulting. Just like this thread.

100%. Very deliberate choice of wording by them

Chanelle doesn’t do conflict but she talks **** about them behind their backs…

I notice that for a lot of viewers, housemates only suddenly become calculating and subtle when it also speaks badly of them lol. Any other time, they supposedly can't articulate themselves for toffee, but when it's in a light that speaks badly of them, suddenly they're men of letters. :joker:

Don't they all. At least chanelle has the excuse of venting her way, and her way is far better than being the loudest voice.
