Can't say I would purchase them but if they were there I'd take a few pink and white ones.

I wondered about that !!

It seems that all the new Trish haters are newbies / have under 10 posts

Trish obviously isn't everyone's cup of tea or she would not be in danger at this eviction.

I'm not a particular fan of hers, i think she is overly aggressive and confrontational when she doesn't need to be. I won't vote to evict her though, primarily because i have a bet on her to win

Everyone is different, we all see different good and bad in people

Maybe Trish is into her Nu Metal? Hence the aggression/passion.

I don't like how on BBLL the guests were shouting at when the audience were trying to comment on Trish and basically being shut down by them. It is a show for everyone to have their opinions.

Differing opinions isn't allowed in the UK in 2023.

We've outlawed it to be more like the Borg off TNG.

What are you saying?

I thought nowadays we're all meant to think exactly the same on every topic, and to the very finest details?

We can't be having sensible logic going on Bitontheslide, it's too much for my poor Brain to take.

Seriously though I agree with you, for a Show like BB people are going to have differing opinions on Housemates, and imo that's a good thing that needs to be encouraged more often (not just for BB) but in other things as well.

I mean going to Video Games if I hear one more person say that Baldur's Gate 3 or TOTK should be "GOTY" like it's fact I will personally scream into their face.

Not really, but you get my point.

It's the arrogance in some of these discussions that everyone has to feel the same way otherwise you're a weirdo that has **** taste is what I personally dislike.

And btw there's nothing wrong with genuinely liking Triss from BB, Baldur's Gate 3 or TOTK, it's the "try to fit in with the popular opinion" crowd that ****s me off because you can always tell them apart from the genuine fans.

Also, I’d have to disagree about Olivia. She tried being nice and then went for a good old bitchfest.

Aggressive and strong she doesn't like either of those words.

She doesn't have the possession task like she had with Dylan. Tries every trick in the book to get Chanelle to react negatively.

We need a like function.

Off topic, I haven't played BG3, but I made the mistake of clicking something about it once and then got a barrage of sexy clips YT recommended from that game. That's quite telling about the perceived quality from the audience.

On topic...

I see her "aggressiveness" coming from a separate dimension. I think it's intended to rile people up/"challenge" them. She knows what role she is being cast in and is playing the game successfully. She is in politics so she knows how it will be perceived. And she's doing quite well with whatever true goal she has in mind. (Winning isn't everything)

Farida should be taking notes. If one is going to be the house drill instructor, one must acknowledge the responsibility that comes with that role... it requires being more than being some brand, but adopting the mentality of a cold tactician and a cause people are willing to get behind... or something like that, it's a hard thought to put into exact words.

Mokka 10-11-2023 05:00 AM

So after an entire episode where Noky and Trish discuss the mislabeling of Women of Colour with words like "aggressive" and "strong" to villainize them... this is the thread that I see first on the forum?

Trish won't let herself be marginalized. Because she is a woman, she need not make herself small to appease others. She has a back bone. She has a voice. She is generally quite articulate and socially aware. She has given great insight and aid to fellow housemates and been nurturing and generous. She isn't perfect and she doesn't need to be. Nor does she need to perpetuate the gender stereotype that woman have to be meek and demure to be liked and accepted. Chanelle pretends to be these things by shying away from confrontation... but no one is focusing on how catty of a B**** she is behind everyone's back. Some how those traits are better than having conversations, discussing problems and issues, calling out bully behavior when it's obvious.

Nah... she isn't aggressive... and her strength isn't in overpowering or manipulating. She is just honest.

bots 10-11-2023 06:17 AM

If I feel someone is being confrontational and aggressive when it's not needed in the situation, I will say it. It has nothing to do with women, women of colour or anything else. It is about one person interacting with another in a particular situation

Well, as someone that has been a fan of the games since BG/ BG2 since they released, and plays D&D weekly, I am just gonna say that BG3 is awesome and probably should be GOTY ;)

I also like Trish!

I am ok being in step with the majority if the majority happens to be right on a thing. :D

Trish hasn’t shown an ounce of aggression at all the entire time she’s been there, that’s just a complete fabrication, a fabrication which would never be thrown at a white woman without evidence or reason

I love her, but she has def shown verbal aggression.

As I just said in another thread though, I quite like that about her
