I hope she isn’t seriously unwell, as I don’t want to misjudge her, but she mentioned when they first went to the second camp that she was done, and wanted to go home.

She hasn’t seemed like she wanted to be there from the start, in my opinion, and it was almost like she was being forced to participate.

I can’t recall seeing her happy, excited or upbeat in any way. In fact, she has shown no enjoyment at all. It was time for her to go, and it doesn’t actually surprise me that this decision was taken directly before she was due to do a trial. It will be no loss to the entertainment value of the show.

She looked broken, really gaunt looking and not coping maybe struggling mentally.

Hmmm...they are all medically checked over before they go into camp which is why some are exempt from trials....she wanted to go home the other day and after getting picked for the trial last night, I had a feeling this might have been her moment.

She hasn't looked well for days been very quiet, hope she is ok and wish her well

I wonder if being a food critic for a long time can actually be pretty unhealthy, it must mean you're eating very rich and calorific food a lot more than you normally would and make it hard to have a consistent diet

if she had any pre-existing health issues at all, being in that environment with that diet would soon cause problems

She'll 'back to normal' looking a million dollars when she piles the make up on, 2 inches deep when she comes on This Morning. :joker:

I liked her. I thought she was gonna be a big mouth show off, but she was very sedate. Very brave doing the heights thing on show one.

…I know it’s a bit different as well but I recall the guy from Man v Food and he would ‘train’ when he wasn’t filming to be able to eat the excesses that he did…(…and obviously very high fat/unhealthy food…he was closely monitored by a medical team is what I read at the time…but he still had health issues because of his job and the filming was stopped…I’m not sure if that series is still going in the US…Maru might know…

She entered the Australian jungle just over a week ago,
alongside fellow campmates Nigel Farage,

left the show on medical grounds.

I also think she found herself in a group that she just didn't bond with, I have never seen her in conversation with anyone and normally when two people are chosen to do a trial together they usually converse....they didnt

I always knew Grace would struggle just because she seems a bit precious in the outside world. Never stuck me as tough enough.

I came across the following, apparently a statement issued by ITV.

ITV's duty of care and welfare teams had stepped in, and rightly so.

“She had struggled since living in the camp with less amenities, the weather this year has been particularly miserable and as a restaurant critic, not eating well proved to be harder than she could have ever imagined”.
